After the update to 2.3.6 my s2 battery life is way better than the previous firmware. 26hours on moderate use txting some calls and a lot of web browsing thru wifi. Updated mine 2days ago without any problem. About the performance i noticed nothing significant,it is still a beast before and after the update.. happy new year from Davao City Philippines :-) ^_^

There is a lot of general smoothness adjustments. Music o/p is better with 2.3.6. Battery has also become better.

ravi, 29 Dec 2011were do u find hindi fonts i couldnt...can you please where... morethere is no option...but earlier if u visit any website..or if someone was posting something in hindi on fb or twitter...it was not displayed(boxes were displayed)...now anything in hindi can be viewed...i guess it is same with documents also....

ankit, 28 Dec 2011Updated my S2 via Kies to 2.3.6 from 2.3.3... today it was ... morei have been trying to update the phone since 27th. it always gets stuck in the second phase of download. kies is one bad software. it starts the download from beginning instead of resuming from where it had left.

Updated my S2 via Kies to 2.3.6 from 2.3.3... today it was finished in a flash...whereas yesterday took more than 2 hours and i tried 2 times...was unsuccesful..may be server issuess yesterday...but cant find much noticible differences...

Just Upgraded my S2 to 2.3.6 from 2.3.3...could not find too many changes...screen lock, colour change while scrolling,some settings,home screen move from 1 to 7...just this much...can some one tell other changes...as i could find many...

If you so want that go to XDA and flash the 5 mb modded zip, it's simple.

Im from malaysia.....this is my 2nd day after updated gingetbread 2.3.3 to 2.3.6.....so far so good....and the upgrade version really solve overheat problem...and the battery life did improve much better.....atleast the update also gives I9100 better comparison with I9100G

today i got update for SG2. second step is very lenthy and time cosuming. it got canceled saying time out error multiple times. at last after servral retries i got the second step correct. now i am having 2.3.6 on my SG2.
can anybody tell me pros and cons of this version ??
