Volume key and power butto... moreYou are wrong to say that the power button is very sensitive, a bit long press will still give you an options to: Silent mode, Data network mode, Flight mode or Power off. And there is still another notification when you select Power off, it will ask you to select ok or cancel. To switch it off, it had to be a very very very very long press! It is easy to avoid touching the power button while pressing the volume keys because of its broad body.
No need to browse the net if you want to dial a number, when you open the phone icon, the dial pad will automatically appear.
The interface design is very nice.
Putting the memory card under the battery is a protection for the memory card to make sure that the power is off when ramoving it.

Pls help me how to do it coz mine is st... moreIf you have internett conection at you home and a computer go to samsung webside and tab on mobile and select you phone after that tab support and then follow the instractions you can also download directly Samsung Kies from the internett or check it in your phone go to settings scroll down to about phone tab on it and tab on firmware update you phone will be conectet to a server from samsung and you will get answere immedently if update is availlible or not australia is moore near to Sout Korea then Norway maybe it is availlible give it a try good luck

Big difference its full 3d smartphone very good display

I'm using this phone from 2month
amazing and thunder class. My suggestion for this phone is that it is better than N8 & IPHONE.
Just buy it & u will not regret.

Volume key and power butto... moreDesire S have the wifi "death-grip"!
When I press the phone-icon on S2 the number-pad is the first screen that come up! I have to press the power-button very very very long before it automatically shut down the phone! It is very easy to not hold your fingers on the small power-botton when pressing the volume-key! I do not like Sence anymore because it is waste of space to have the costumisation-key always visable at the bottom of the screen, I use ADWLancer EX as my user-interface, but the free GO Launcer is also good, and Beatiful Widgets give an ever better looking weather widget than the one used by Sence!
Desire S does not have better batterylife than S2!
I use MailDroid Pro for e-mail and GO sms pro for sms!

Excuse me! 1.2GHz is different from 1GB RAM!
I hope you know what your talking about.
And when you say 1GB RAM it doesn't mean exactly 1GB, just as in the USB memory flash drive, when it specifies 16GB, the actual size is lower than 16GB.

few small issues and comments -
Volume key and power button r almost opp to each other. So when u press one, other gets accidentally pressed too.
I had to browse net to find out where is the number pad so that i can dial a new number. its on extreme left on the top scroll bar under the phone. I dont know about any other way to get it open. Its poor interface design/ just ovrelooked.
memory card cant be removed without removing battery.
I guess power button is very sensitive/ a bit long press shuts it down.
But none are deal breakers for me. But I like my htc sense (desire S) ui much better than samsung.
Some issue with hotmail account set up. messages dont auto sync unless u set it as preimum account.
But guys no phone is perfect. This one is very good at least. But I find my Htc desire S as fast as this and has much better battery life, and has more user friendly interface.

AnonD-18025, 22 Sep 2011Dolphin Browser and Maxthon Mobile Browser also support Ado... moreI use Opera Mobile because it is best at saving passwords on every webpage, but I really like the Miren Browser! Dolphin was good but just as Skyfire it have become focused on too many other things than focusing on giving a good browsing experience without distractions!
I think Firefox is the only browser that does not support Flash 10.3 on Android, and Firefox is still very slow on Android!

On the specifitions of this phone it says its a 1.2Gmz, but when I check it out the actual RAM of this phone is only 837mb ram, is it some kind of a cheat of samsung, if its so , what a shame on you samsung.
