Hi guys,
I have my SG2 for almost a week now. Prior to this, I had an iphone4. I am so happy my iphone has gone. Even the iphone5 wont tempt me. Apple is just overated and media hyped. Anyway how can I can turn "Data Network Mode" (Complete switching off of the internet to preserve battery) WITHOUT the need to keep pressing the power button key? Is there a short cut? Also I am with T Mobile UK. How can I set my voicemail delay to 30 seconds? So when somebody calls me, it takes 30 seconds before it goes to voicemail answermachine? Thanks.

My mates use differents types of O/S but all of them want sgs 2 its like a drug..Most have to wait for contracts to be up and some are going pay as you go and the rest are buying simfree and using their contract sim..Our carfone shop has run out twice and having to order..I canr believe the screen on this fone its better than my laptop and tv.
Some of us are trying to hold off till NFC version comes out like i am and getting contract over 24 months..In that time NFC will arrive and this smart/superfone will still be relavent...

Bill, 14 Jul 2011just wondering ,bought the samsung yesterday had a look in ... more838 RAM available is normal. They OS used up the others. As long as everything is fast (they should be), you are fine.

Just got my galaxy s2 today and i noticed 7 pixels burnt out in it. has anyone had that experience as well or should i consider this an unlucky coincidence ?

just wondering ,bought the samsung yesterday had a look in the task manager and the ram is quoted at 1gb, i only seem to have 838 and the amount of ram it is using is upwards of 550 to 680 all the time is this normal, would be curious to find out what other peoples phones are running at and whether the ram amount is actually 1gb

It might be cool at 1st to have 7 homescreens, but do you really need them. Now ive played about with it & calmed down a bit i only have 1 homescreen, with the necessary apps on it & Accu Weather, enable power saving mode to come on at 70%, do not allow background data to be used, trust me, that especially will kill your battery life, also reduce brightness, you can easily adjust all these things as & when you need to use them.

I rooted my sgs2 this morning installed titanium backup and froze wifi sharing and noticed a slight improvement in battery life. What else can I do to improve battery life?

Great phone, but It heats up sometimes. So i turn it off and let it cool down. Weird I do not understand why this phone heats up

hey everybody i never used an android b4 so my question is -though it may sound silly- can i put differant wallpapers to every & each one of the 7 panels or layouts on the homescreen?
So that it will be like Every layout has its own shortcuts & wallpaper differant from the other layout

This is the best device i have ever purchased or used.
A real thumbs up to Samsung.
Was bit concerned about the sound quality
& battery quality read here and there but mine has absolutely no issues.
My music sounded as good as my old Galaxy S that too with stock headset.
Highly recommended guys.
Way to go Samsung and waiting to buy a
Quad Core Galaxy S III next year - July.

Anyway i'm thinking of buying the gs2 but it will be my 1st android usage cuz i've been stuck with symbian/nokia all my life
duh..!!
I now have the sony eric. vivaz & i'm switching to android & i chose the gs2 though just this morning i read on the homepage about a rumor of a (sony eric. Xperia duo) which has a 1.4 ghz dual core & 12mpx camera(sony cameras are the best i used so far on phone but only on a phone) & 4.5 inch qhd screen & super heavy duty battery.
Though it's just a rumor but i'm confused between the gs2 & the "who knows" xperia duo
What do you think?

This is a review ! I've had this phone for a week. It is absolutely AMAZING. It's fast, it's extremely good looking, it very light and ergonomic. I myself have read lots of reviews condemning this electronic piece of art,which made me v. sceptical and even afraid of purchasing this item.Out of the box the phone is running KE4 firmware, there Are No overheating issues whatsoever even during the extensive usage.Both the screen and the back panel are warm at best. Battery life could be better and the volume on the headphones should be louder as well. The screen, speakerphone and other functions are crisp, loud and properly working respectively . Do yourself a huge favor: run out and buy this Phone.

im in a delemma, i want this phone but i wanna know if it really gets hot when using it? this phone wont be outdated atleast for another year so im wondering if i buy this will it be stable like the iphone and dont have that heating issue every1 is talking about? pls help im gonna buy this soon!

It is possible to use Odin and reinstall original firmware, and it is possible to reset the "flash count", so you can get the warranty back but when, as long as, S2 is rooted you do not have any warranty.
