been using for 2 weeks..poor battery life..weak and very slow gps..navigation also unusable..audio superb but speaker only at the back..but don't worry its got firmware updates..hehe..overall its the best.. lastly lacks of free accessories..no mhl cable for tv..no usb on the go cable..no 8gigs sdcard..only basic..

Lol why would you care about battery life???? Just charge it???? For 8 hours yes it does its better then most phones out there since most of them only range from 5-7 hours now i owned thia phone for only a week and its the best phone in the market there is no comparsion at this point so just get it unless your too poor because i paid 1,000 for mine

maria, 07 Jul 2011previously i had htc incredible s,which has very good wifi ... moreI had the same problem with the KE2 firmware,but when i updated to new KF3(KE7) the Wi-Fi strength is much much better... almost perfect :-)

I was exploring my phone and playing games nonstop. Well maybe more than 8hours? But definitely less than 16 hours, with excessive usage, i emphasized. Today i used it moderately(sent a few text, played a few games and music) and after 8 hours theres still 80% of battery left. So, you really don't have to worry so much about the battery.
As for Wi-Fi, somehow the signal always shows 1 or 2 bars(not full bar of 3), but somehow my browser speed is still very fast. I have never lost connection halfway ever before. I compared the speed with another smart phone to load a particular webpage, Samsung is still much faster.

Hi All
Got the phone today morning from Dialog in Sri lanka having an amex 50% discount promotion for apx US$428/= for a two year contract for US$32/= without taxes for 24 month.
The call charges are more than that so its cheap for me.
First time to using android os.
earlier used symbian & windows
but this far more better in the short while experience.
I must say that its an awesome masterpiece so far ive used.
will get back to you ia when used for some time with more details
the display is superb & the phone is superfast & slim

ahmed, 07 Jul 2011thanks again and great Arabic with out any problem h... moredear it is only a 2 minutes job to flash the rom. download the ROM from the link i mentioned earlier. Then download the flash tool also from the same website. There is also a guide available on the same website. Just read that and you will be able to do it.

But Are you sure that battery... moreyou can change some settings on it manually to extend it, i can get about a day and half with sensible usage or a good full day with heavey usage, just need to keep the screen brightness below half which is still bright and use the task killer, if you have the screen brightness to a maximum you will get about 8 hours, also set your battery manager to about 10%, it all helps, far better then the iphones i think for life

However, I have flashed various ROMs from various regions on my SII, so you can safely flash this Official Arabic ROM. Mine SII is also from European region but i am using this Arabic ROM perfectly.

I have had this phone for 2 days now and its simply amazing! I can say one bad thing about it. its fast, the battery is great and the screen is simply stunning. I can't recommend this phone enough. Ps, i wrote this on my phone :-)
