AnonD-2461, 20 Jun 2011Just arrived in Malaysia..Same price as sony xperia Arc..So... more^^.. yeah Rm2099.. i was thinking bout getting a sgs.. then when i saw the price of sgs2 aw gawd.. its very cheap for a monster phone like that ^^.. so i changed my mind.. going to get sgs2 in july (hopefully) ^^.. yeah very charming !!

I asked the Samsung outlet sales assistance at Sunway Piramid n he said it will be available within 2 weeks time. lately by early of Jul'11. Is it true? Can somebody here can confirm with me about this?? Thanks...

what's the point of good hardware and mobile phone if there's nothing can be bought. come on samsung release it already in my country. don't let my waiting becomes useless as i'll be waiting for Nexus 4 if the release date close between them.

The only way for a phone to heat up is long duration multitasking, web browsing, and hardcore gaming. Yellow tint is just an exaggeration. To most people, you can hardly tell, but to a few people, you can see the yellow tint. Though the plastic on the phone feels really cheap. Overall, it's a really fast phone with almost zero lag.

But if you want to compare this phone to other Android phones, this phone is a bit better due to AMOLED tech display. Other than that, battery life isn't that great. I wish they use better quality materials for this phone. Everytime I hold the phone, I feel like I can crush it.

It sucks that Telstra customers in Australia have to wait till mid-to-late July for it to be released. I refuse to go on Optus but seriously, everyone has been waiting for so long and it really bugs me that they don't do anything about the late release dates (on every phone).
I swear, the contracts better be good reasonable prices or I'll spew. I've been looking for the right smartphone for a while to be released on Telstra and the Samgsung Galaxy S II is probably the only one that I've really been excited about but by the time Telstra releases it and I see the prices, there has already been a new phone with better specifications that's been announced. I know that will always happen but if it came out on Telstra in even early June I wouldn't be as annoyed.
Stuck with the same phone (Motorola V3... Yeah I know...) since 2005 and even though it hasn't died yet, I would like to be able to use the internet, Facebook, check my emails and listen to music on-the-go with just one device. I just hope that Samsung doesn't announce a new phone any time soon because I'm into the slim factor and large screens the other brands haven't seem to have topped yet.
Release it already!!

battery only 12 hours average usage..overheat after 1 hour..other than that all superb..really miss nokia user friendly setting still the best

I m using it for the past two weeks, the phone does get heated up sometimes but thts ok as it happens to any device with no dedicated fan
The best way is to close some unwanted apps (as that is the prime reason for the phone to be heated)
also I find no problem of the yellow spot

battery life with 45min of talktime, 20-30min of maps and videos and remaining as standby - is 24hours
no yellow tint. i've seen the screen in pure white on a pic taken of a white sheet.
smooth screen transitions.
not such a great loudspeaker.
problem to connect on internet thru 3g (see my post below). but that is more of a settings issue since it works beautifully on wifi and also on 3g (barring those two functions).
customizable to the bone!
heating yes - but thats the case with so many other such phones.
i use it in India. gps gets signals from satellites even without data network or wifi on.
ev.one speaks about the flimsy battery cover, but really what use do u want to put the cover to once it is shut!?? just to cover the battery right....it is flexible so no worries for breakage either. and it keeps the phone light.
irritating screen time out - it times out and also gets locked....
fantastic camera.
android apps - typical of ad supported apps - keep getting sponsored links - but that again is upto u to avoid by choosing where to download apps from
