Do not try. My Samsung I9105 SII "lost" the IMEI and drop down dead. Contacted, SAMSUNG suggested to change the IMEI "motherboard" at US$ 650. More expensive than the phone itself. The attendant from Samsung told, off the records, that this problem is usual. In the WEB you can find a lot of articles about phantoms IMEI´s in such phone. It´s a bad bet. Sure, the money is yours! I suppose they have lots of stock left of displays and chips they do not want to dump or destroy so they made this.
Plus it might be very cheap which is good for 3rd world markets

Why S2 plus please tell me whats the difference S2 and S2 plus will it be chipper because i want to buy s2 I9100 and not I9100M (not good GPU SGX 540)
Will S2 plus will be any better than I9100

I'm kinda confused??? is Samsung trying to power back up the GS2 line of smartphones when the GS3 is out or what??? I don't understand what is the real point of this phone. I read through the specs and it looks like another mid range phone. But why? Is it for sales or something else. whatever the case is i hope Samsung knows pushing out 20 phones in a year is not the way to do things.

Really happy with my GS2 at the moment. Speaker quite loud too, love it...
