Im using s4 mini for almost 3 years now;
The first thing that will annoy you aboutthis phone as compared to other latest phones is its less internal memory.
I have rooted my device and installed Link2sd app so that i can move whole apk data directly into sd card and phone is working fine and it also saves the phone memory. Then downloaded 'GL to SD' app by which you can move data+obb files into memory card and can still open the apps without lagging. Then about battery issues in which I have 'Greenify' app which hibernates every app as soon as screen turns off. This will save your battery very much. I have fifa 12, asphalt 8, Mortal kombat in my phone at a time with other regular apps and all of them unstaed in sd card with their data. All of them working extremely fine.

Not because they aren't great phones, but because they didn't improve the z3c, which is still the best after 2 years: only 129g for 4,6" screen with top performance and features.
As you can notice I know this kind of segment quite well...unfortunately this segment is dominated by the iPhone (full models and SE model) which are wonderful...except for they closed system.

I would like to change my s4 mini but...there is still NO alternative after 3 years:
Try to search for a 4.3-4.7" display and at least 8 mpx camera...with sd card, replaceable battery and 1,5 gb of RAM...there is NO one.

A dying li-ion battery will (without warning) suddenly drop to 0% causing the phone to automatically shut down, and/or not to power back on. Get a new battery and see if that helps. New OEM ones cost under $20 USD.

Rajinder, 01 Sep 2016After two and half years ...the Wifi has stopped in my S4 ... moreThere might be a bad/intermittent contact between the wifi antenna and the board's connecting pins. Dirty/corroded contacts can cause loads of problems like this. I had a similar problem with the cell antenna. Disassembling the phone and cleaning the faulty contacts with a spudger may solve it.

Asim, 16 Sep 2016Best Samsung Phone. Using 3years. Battery life poor now.I think most people forget (or are unaware) that li-ion batteries have quite a short life. Consider yourself lucky if you can get (at most) 2 years of useful life out of one. Li-ion batteries lose their ability to hold a charge rapidly beyond the 2-year point, and that's regardless of how often (or little) you charge/discharge them. Get a new GENUINE/OEM Samsung replacement battery and if possible get one with the latest date of manufacture.
