2. Turn off sync
3. Turn off data/wifi/gps/bluetooth/smartstay and use only when needed.
4. Always close background apps.

I charge my phone once in a day.......battery takes me for over 13 hours with calls, browsing and stuff.
I think you need KK upgrade. Reduces lag. Screen responds faster.
Though it comes with some minor bugs but overall. Better than JB.
Mine still reboots tho.......

Settings>More>about device>baseband version.
You'll see the region yours ends with , either INU or INS so you'll know if yours is released.
But I think wi-fi upgrade would be better so your information stays intact after upgrade.

Upgraded to 4.4.2 today and used for few hours..
my review in short..
1) There are no major changes in UI or homescreen. some minor changes : Status bar become colourless. No H+ symbol.
2) Less battery drain in standby mode..
3) minor improvement in speed of navigation in various apps..
4) Battery and overheating seems to be improved but it is too early to give conclusion in few hours of use.
5)those who are using S view cover, Changes: s view screen brightness improved. it was previously 100% by default but now brightness is same as system settings... In s view screen when you dial any number ther is no option to hang up the call now..( previously it was there)
6)Messaging and hangouts merged, you can use any one as default.. i dont like hangouts much..
7)watch on widget improved.. i like it very much to use it in lock screen..
8) camera shortcut added in lockscreen.. useless..
9) Contacts syncing improved, even with facebook and whatsapp sync now better..
10)Google now improved but i dont use it much either
11) assistive light upgrade to Torch widget.
12)System lag during gaming and high end app is same as previous version
some other minor improvementss..
overall worth to upgrade.. .

How is the audio and the speaker of this phone?
and how about the battery?(without any update of the firmware) how long can it stay standby if you use it only for 1-3 calls(small duration around 5 minutes)

Lags happen only due application errors, but that would happen for any mobile. At Rs16k-18k, this is best phone in the range beating Moto G in hardware specs.Camera is above average, screen looks great and touch sensitivity is awesome. Phone now comes with a kitkat update too.

Hi All,
In India have anyone rec'd 4.4.2 KitKat Update for S4 Mini Duos (I9192) Black Edition. For me it does not show any notification in KIES and also through Software Update. If anyone got the update on their Black Edition, please let me know.

I am trying to download kitkat firmware for i9192 from sammobile website. But it has two options for INDIA . INU and INS. Anyone has any idea which file I have to download? What is the difference between INU and INS?

They called me and suggested a reset. ... moreNot a very wise thing to do, I'd say.
But then if you are OK with that then so be it.
I am going to buy i9192 in coming weeks. I do not care about it KK or JB, as long as it works, I'll play ball. It seems there's no going back once I upgrade to KK.
One question guys, do you seriously recommend upgrading to KK or it is not worth those compromises?
