My main problem is that i cant downgrade to 4.0 or 4.1 because of generique imei. I tried many times and same problem so im blocked in this version 4.3 just to resolve battery buckup.

There are plenty of Launchers to choose from on the Play Store.
I have tried out a lot of them and finally settled on Smart Launcher 2 on my S3. It is low on RAM resources and there are plenty of themes to choose from. The PRO version supports widgets on the screen. It also supports icon packs so you can customize it further.
Nova Launcher is also a popular launcher but it hasn't been updated for a long while. At the end of the day though it down to your own preference.

The main reason I bought the S3 was because of an micro SD card slot. I really don't care about the update, but I do care about a micro SD card slot. Which new smartphone should I buy then Anthony???

Oh my God, Oh my God, what's happening? I purchased the phone GS3 three months ago instead of GS2 to get official updates from the Samsung ... All reports of Samsung says that GS3 will get the updat(kitkat) during this month and I am waiting day after day. after that the sad news broke the hearts of 40 million users of GS3 (there is no update to the kitkat!!!!!!) because the internal memory of GS3 less than 1 GB !!!!! the reason is not convincing and proof is the mobile galaxy ace style (internal memory 500 MB only)!!!!! ....This is a shame ... Why Samsung did not tell us the truth all this time. Why there is no respect for the promises ... Samsung want us to throw the phone in the waste basket to buy a new mobile every year. Not everyone has a budget to buy high-priced phones every year. Thank you Samsung!!!!! It's really disappointed!!!!

S3 was one of the best phones that I had invested in, do you ever know how crappy black berry is? Lol I bought it 2 - 3 years back the bold 9780 until my upgrade to s3 and you get nothing for the value you pay. Market value of the phone was well above $500 or maybe even $600 when I purchased the BB.
I purchased my s3 8-9 months back for around $400 and its value for money. Its a good music player, with an sd card, videos are of superb quality and camera is awesome, not heavy to carry around, I use alot of pdfs, and yea its quite easy to view them with a 4.8 screen. Best of all you get a radio which is why I love my phone alot.I could use this phone for another 2 years minimum coz it has all what is required by a person. Just because tech advances doesn't mean thats the best or we should upgrade to it.
I know there are drawbacks such as battery life, come on whats perfect in this world learning to live around these small hickups is all about life.
Btw after an years time you could get kk or whatever is then there installed although not from samsung they work fine. And there you get an all new os phone which you can use for another year.
The main thing im emphasising everyone to use a phone or anything more than its average time is because of the e waste that clogs up due to people upgrading at a rate without thinking of the impact on earth. And if you guys have not noticed no matter samsung apple or whatever the brand in this world they are all here to make profits so they want you guys to buy there products, so every company will kill there older product in time to come and introduce a new one with minor tweeks. Dont fall into that trap of the companies.

Touchpiss on the SIII is so loaded with crap that my wife is now telling me she regrets giving up her SII and taking my SIII when I upgraded. Now she understands what I was bitching about all the time. LOL

here the samsung goes down. no kitkat on s3 means great mistake done by samsung. samsung loses war. better to go with google nexus and my best sony xperia..have s3 and m gonna give it to my sis.. its no use now.. bye bye samsung..

Hi Guys I experience Sim Card Removed Error in S3. When I searched on web I find most of the people are facing this Issue. Have any one come across such an Issue? It appears suddenly and not known your sim card is removed and you need to restart it to use the phone again. Can anyone please suggest a solution I am fed up searching on net everyone facing the problem but no proper solution. FYI I have changed new Sim and running Stock OS 4.3 still the problem persists. Please help me.

So why in the hell is the dialer and contacts still taking so long to open on first start. And why is going back to the home screen still take so long to fully load? I too have moved away from Samsung to HTC. It's a last year model but it's still a hell more responsive with a UI that makes sense when it comes to using your smartphone as an actual phone. Samsung S class of phones is like the know it all kid that does everything the long way to show how much it can do but actually all it's doing is waisting precious seconds.

I've read the comments from users who seem shocked that the S3 wont be updated to KK.
I wrote on the 25/04/2014 that I thought the S3 wouldn't be updated because of the limited amount of memory left after Touchwiz has loaded all the useless apps that Samsung think we want but don't (Group Play, Paper Artist, Samsung Link, Google this... Google that etc. etc.).
The S3 could easily run KK if Samsung trimmed down Touchwiz like they have on the S5, but they seem to think that if we don't get KK we will all rush out and buy their new model (which we wont).
I was going to change my phone anyway this year and I have voted with my wallet and purchased a Nexus 5. My loyalty to Samsung has vanished, and I think a lot of other people will feel that way now.
