AnonD-261485, 08 May 2014Can't you give me a suggestion .. because I wanted to buy m... moreIf s3 is gonna be the first smartphone then I guess its a good idea to buy an S3, but s3 has got a heating and battery draining problem currently so be mindful if you are going to buy an S3, if you are from india and if you dont mind a dual sim phone you could go to buy the I-9300l they call it the s3 neo as well, has pretty much the same specs as the s3, its a phone realised recently so may get certain system updates during the 18 months cycle. Please get more information before proceeding as I gave you just my opinion.

Samsung make people more confused and disappointed for kit kat update for s3 international version. go to hell if you are not updating s3. never buy any Samsung phone....they think Samsung is king but soon it will be decline in the market.

You can't say I9300 will get it in a couple months because Sprint got it. Did you get your information on official web site?
Here is my bottom line, most Android phone manufacturers (if not all) have an update window of 2years. The I9300 is already 2 year. the I9305 is not going to be 2 years till September. The I9300I only came out last month. Those versions and any other version number that is not 2 years yet will get updates. Not the I9300(the first SIII)
Also, because of the touch wizz/piss UI a new android version is not going to help the phone because it's the UI thatis buggy and the same bugs can be found in the brand new S5. and that is also a "bottom line"

Yes Sprint variant got since it has 2 GB RAM. But international version has 1 GB and 3 months older than US version of Galaxy S3.
International version may get kitkat but not any time soon. May be after 2 - 3 months.

It is not Samsung official site bottom line that kitkat will run on 512 mb ram. So people don't worry s3 international model will be updated on few months time sprint variant of s3 got it. Others to follow.

Guys just use kk launcher it is awesome... it changes samsung default ui to a different ui... I using this launcher on my s3

It seems Kitkat 4.4.2 will be available for S3 international version in next week likely. Check the following links
