AnonD-3454, 03 Mar 2014I really wish to update my S3 to 4.3 due to the UI improvem... moreIt depends on use. I have updated my s3 to 4.3. And guess what, my phone has a super crisp display, super fast performance. Smooth reflexes.
If I do gaming like asphalt 8 airborne. And modern combat 4. It lasts in 2.5 hrs. When I do browsing it will take 5 hrs to be drained out from 100% to 0%.
When I use it just for text msgs and calls. My battery runs for at least 1 and half day. If I watch a movie on my device I can watch a 1080p movie of 2 hrs and I still have 50 to 40% battery left.
Battery is not a issue for me at 4.3. I love to be at 4 3.

Battery life sucks. You have to keep the damn phone on the charger all the time.

I really wish to update my S3 to 4.3 due to the UI improvements.
But all over the net there's articles and people complaining about the "massive battery drain" after the 4.3 update. There's videos, articles and whatnot.
What is your experience after the 4.3 update? Is the battery draining really fast?

New buyers......There is no update for 4.4 KK. Check the Samsung official page for updates list., then buy.

First of all make sure that it isn't a configuration message that hasn't been read. Open the Messaging app and press the left soft key. On the menu you will see 'Configuration messages'.
If it isn't that, go into Settings/Application Manager. Scroll across to the right until the header reads 'All'. Scroll down to 'Badge Provider' and tap on it. Press 'Clear cache' and then 'Clear data'. Then back out to your Home screen.
