i prefer grand 2 over the s3 because of
1) surely get the 4.4 update and may be 4.5 in future but the s3 was not getting the 4.4 update in future
2) lcd displays are always better than the amoleds
3) 1380 mb of ram over the s3 was only on 770 mb ram
4) big display
5) very very new ui
6) new multi window
7) a good resale value after the 2 years
8) 4g support but s3 was not supporting the 4g
9) dual sim with long battery life more than the s3
10) s3 was old mobile so after 6 months its very difficult to available the accessories ( like flip cover and battery )

few days back, i bought samsung galaxy s3 ... i want to upgrade my s3 in version 4.3, but there is no software updates showing in my mobile and also in kies ... how can i update my s3 in 4.3 ????? please tell me ???

Guys when m using app 2 sd it says:
this device does not have a real primary external storage, or the primary external storage is emulated
moving app to SD function may not be supported by this device.
whats the problem??
my fone not rooted,& yes i inserted 16gb card correctly in it..
fone fime manager opening all files in ext sd..

This is a word processing app I use.
Look at the notice they had to give to 4.4 kitkat users
Why would you guys be in a hurry to deal with that?
Not to mention the archived versions of flash no longer work in kitkat.
So if favourite video site don't support html5, you shit out of luck.
So by happy with 4.1.2 or 4.3

Thanks Samsung for the 4.3 update to Galaxy s3 in Saudi Arabia. Working fine without any lag or hanging and also battery backup is fine phone response fast.

Be very careful with this phone, it happens to suffer from a certain bug known as SDS (sudden death syndrome) this happened to me but fortunately for me the s3 I purchased second hand had warranty on it

Another possible explanation is because Microsoft own the patent on SD Slots, and any manufacturer using them has to pay a premium to MS to use them.
The other explanation is the Google want access to everything on your phone for data mining, so they try and force you to use Google+

paul, 28 Feb 2014it seems you dont have S III. that's why you are saying so.... moreI have a SIII & a HTC ONE MAX and I for one don't want 4.4 kitkat on the SIII because it restricts your SD card slot. I learned that the hard way on my MAX and I don't need 2 phones with crippled as card slots.

hello samsung the s2 & note 1 also get three updates only which like s3 has already got three updates thats over then why are you trying to give the 4.4 update
the three updates are enough for the s3 users so we could not expert 4.4 update and present price is also very very less only(22000) so its enough so don't work on 4.4 update
