my galaxy s3 went dead in my pocket... wont turn on... wont connect to my laptop. just plain dead. what should i do? please help me.

            This is what I have found since updating to Android v4.3 on my phone.
            The free RAM hovers around 140Mb, which is only a slight improvement than before.
            The lag on the phone now is awful. When I press the Power and/or Home button it takes about 2 seconds for the lockscreen to appear. I get the same delay when I press 'Dialer', 'Contacts', or 'Messaging'. It is a very poor update.
            As an experiment, I charged the phone battery to 100% and then left it alone without using it. After one hour the battery had dropped to 96%. Only 4% in one hour, but divide 100 by 4 and you get 25. That means that I can expect the battery to last 25 hours IF I don't use it!
            I tried clearing out the cache, reflashing the phone, and flushing the cache again afterwards but it didn't improve matters.
            The reason that your RAM drops is because when you use the Dialer, Contacts, messaging etc the phone keeps part of that app in memory in case you decide to use it again and it can load it faster (press the Home button for 2 seconds to see what is being held in memory). There isn't much you can do about that, only kill the apps by 'right sliding' them; but if you do that then you are using up your battery because it has to be loaded into RAM again. The S3 has always been underpowered with 1Gb of RAM, I had a S4 for a while and it absolutely flew along because it had 2Gb RAM.

              i have s3 shv e210k. it is updated to v4.3. this update is not stable as the battery drains fast. if i kept it connected to 2g network data plan. the battery lasts 5 hours max. other features are nice. wifi keeps disconnecting sometimes. phone wakes up automatically. performance is smooth though. battery takes 3 to 4 hours to be charged.
              is samsung planning to resolve these issues??

                How do u update the softwareto 4.3......cuz everytime I try to update it tells me u have the latest software and actually its 4.1.2

                  If I download a firmware of UK from sammobile site and flash iot through odin in my mobile will it remove all apps and data from my cell phone and will it cause any problem related to carrier support so that after flashing I need not to go to store for unlocking my device?

If i restart my phone for4-5 hours ram shows above 280mb free but after that it goes low and low,and phone also becomes slow to respond

                          If you are conserved about the 2amp charger, you can buy the SIII, Samsung branded amp charger, if that makes you feel better.

                            irfanifse, 02 Jan 2014Well yes ur right i googled now to see the problem regardin... moreI personally had problems using a 32gb class 10 SanDisk card.. it would work fine in a PC but would be invisible to my phone from time to time. Not to mention in the notification bar I would see the (card being mounted logo) every time the screen came out of sleep.
                            Now I use a Samsung branded class 10 card. Didn't feel like doing days of research and figured it's the same brand so I should have no problems. And I don't from that point on.

It has 2gb ram. Everything is working fine so far. I don't know how much the battery life is. Bcuz I bought it with v4.3 updated. My battery lasts with moderate use without any data plan for a day. And if use wifi or 2g data it lasts a 8 to 10 hrs. I don't know whether it is normal or not.

                                    I've tried most if not all of the major brands of SD cards, and the only ones that have both worked faultlessly and without read/write issues have been Samsung's own brand. It might just be a coincidence that Samsung SD cards work better in Samsung products.
                                    Re: The v4.3 update. What country and which supplier? Before you rush to update your phone I can tell you from experience that it is a mess! The phone lags terribly on v4.3 and the battery leaks like a sieve. I've downloaded v4.1.2 and I'll flash my S3 back to that when I have time. v4.3 has nothing that you haven't already got on v4.1.2
