This pair just had what i mentioned...and i believe something like its best to keep the battery inbetween 5% and 95% when in regular use...similar to what Anker say on amazon. Anyway it made me feel better that a little overcharge wont apparantly cause any damage. LOADS of lithium batteries were recalled not that long ago....mobile batteries....at least wikipedia mentions that. So the safety measures inside are genuinely for a reason.

I think these companies state that just to cover their own backs in case something untowards happens i.e. if a battery or the mains charger catches on fire for one reason or another while it is on charge.
I recently remembered that I had put my 3DS XL on charge in the garage 3 days earlier and I had forgotten about it. I unplugged it and it worked fine.

i recently got my anker set of batteries with travel wall charger. The wall charger is pretty good...but cheap and works on the mains, or via usb. ANYway to anyone that cares they actually mentioned that anymore than 30mins overcharging will damage the battery. Which was just what i wanted to find out.

In times long ago batteries had a built in memory. I will explain~~~
If you had a battery on 100% and used 40% of it before recharging, then you charged the battery by 60%. The battery's memory would remember that and the next time you charged it you could only charge it by 60% no matter how flat it was.
The Lithion-Ion batteries used these days do NOT have a built in memory so you can charge a battery by as little as 10% and the next time charge it by 100% if it is flat.

I was just like you, I gave up on my first charge.
Remember I was asking freefaller the same question.
Decided to use it without the full charge until it was dead.
Then I did the full charge.
I have only done the full charge twice.
                Just don’t have the time.
But I did read it is best to deplete the battery to at least 2% before you recharge for optimal use. That part I try my best to follow.
I charge the phone once every other night but don’t always reach the green light.

The 2 battery meters I use are misleading in charge and usage times, so I just look at the %.
And when the battery info says 100% charged, it’s not 100% yet. Its only 100% when the LED turns green, which could take an extra 30min and was confirmed on the official web site.

Dee™, 15 May 2013@Freefaller™&Anthony™ Got the battery(Zerolemon) today... moreAfter you put it in and put on the case, the phone doesn’t feel solid?
Because it feels like a tank to me. Nothing shakes; creaks and all the ports are aligned well, with no visible gaps. The case grips the phone well and don’t come off in a fall. The battery don’t even dislodge of shift.
Did you seat the battery properly?
My only regret is, I should have gone with the black instead of the white.
I can’t keep it clean at all.
But I’ll change colour in June when the rugged case comes out

If anyone is considering buying this phone,I suggest you to take a look at the GT-i9305 version of the galaxy s3. It has double the ram with the same quad core cpu and mali400 graphics and it is also 4g LTE capable.

It doesn't fit into Samsung desktop charger, so I have to use the phone to charge it. Started to charge about 7:15PM Australia time with the phone power off. The battery already 50% charged when arrived. It doesn't feel solid at all, I can see that the battery have 3 pieces assembled together
