After only 8 days of careful use, my S3 has crashed with 93% battery. Has not been dropped, nothing to cause this. All I have is a red dot on the upper left side of phone. Had a few quirks with my HTC Inspire but nothing like this and that was a great phone and the only reason I am upgrading is because after 2 years I am having a problem with the charging port that requires me to hold or prop the charge piece to get it to charge. Help??? Please has anyone had this problem and if so please leave a post on main gsm page. Thanks.

Anthony, 10 May 2013Ok my message is different from yours. :) Must be a ROM re... more rom region thing? huh

so if you muck about with the settings you get errors, and if i do... then i might break my phone....that doesn't seem fair LOL!

well it runs good enough....i may try that. Lots of the games aren't optimised to the max as you may know, what with all the android phones....or there's a crappy update for some phones, compared to the one that was before.

well try it with a limit of 2 or 3
None is a bit drastic, don't you think.
          Experiment till you find something.

if break doesn't mean damage then great. No idea where you read errors

Anyway i tried the setting earlier....they didn't actually help surprisingly. But thanks anyway. I think as part of the game runs as a background process then it confuses the phone, having no processes running...when the game force runs that process.

Errors don't mean the same thing as damage the phone.
As I said before, there is no one setting that is ideal for everyone.
Find what is best for your situation. If along the way you see a setting causing problems with what you do on the phone, just go back in and change it again.

But why can’t you do the official Kuwait update made for your model, your self?
All you need is an internet connection and maybe a PC.
                          No trip to Kuwait necessary.

Comparing a may 2012 phone with a April 2013 phone. And talking about outdated spec…
The Sony SP should be better in every way as it is almost a year newer than the SIII
                                Yet the SIII has
                                Support for larger microSD
                                Larger internal storage
                                USB on-the-go
                                Much better front camera
                                Bigger screen
                                Same res
                                Same RAM
                                Same rear camera

You need to be slapped with a S4 or HTC ONE to wake up and see what 2013 phones look like :)

The Sony SP is just embarrassing for a 2013 device.

This is the global settings for everything one the phone. And you sould go in and set everything up, including Remote controls & SIM change alert. (you will need this if you lose your phone.)
When you are done going through every setting in the global settings. Then you can move on to the custom setting which override the global settings. …..

In EVERY APP for android you have custom settings that apply to that app and that app only.
Just open the app>tap the menu key> and scroll down till you see “settings.

And seeing that you know nothing about Android, take the time to read the user manual available for download from the menus on the right of this very page. Android is not as basic as iOS and you would learn a lot faster if you just read the manual.
