Anthony, 26 Apr 2013Do you have "word" or "paint" on your P... moreJust confirmed that for you, yes I can do that with no problem!
in Paint>>>open and paste files from S3 >>>edited it and Save as back to S3 and the same with Word>>>>open from S3 and Save back to S3.
But then again you're using XP, XP have problem compatible with S3 than Windows7.

              @ Dee & Anthony

The results are in on the 7000mAh battery I purchased. I have just put it on it's 2nd charge after.... well, I wont spoil the pleasure. Take a look at how long it lasted.

The figures will get better as it optomises after a few charges.

Now, I'm not sure what you wanted to do.

While my S3 connected to PC>>>I can open picture editing software and take pictures from S3 to edit or save to S3.
If I wanted to put more MP3 or pictures or files like ebook or Apps that I downloads from Internet>>>I just simply save direct into S3's folders.
Is that what you wanted to know? because my S3 is just the same as me having flash drives or HHD connected to my PC

Can’t seem to explain my self properly to you.
Drag and drop works just fine in both media and camera mood for me.

                    It is using…
                    File > Save as
                    Or
                    File > open
From with-in a PC program I can’t do directly to the phone.

You can do the above with a flash drive and also with the discontinued windows mobile phones.

Need confirmation that you are doing that with your SIII
No confirmation of drag and drop is needed. I already know that works.

My daughter use disc as ninja starts when playing.
She is an online baby that thinks my wife SII is her own. Netflix, youtube, Disney, discovery, games that’s what she likes. So we agreed she is get a galaxy tab 2 7”(wifi only model) this 5th birthday. (hopefully the battle for the SII will stop :-)

For me it’s just safer and faster to keep things on solid state and have backups that can drag an drop to any device quickly, rather than burning a new disc when I need a next copy.
And yes please confirm that you can…. file> “save as” directly to your phone from within a PC program as soon as you can. I really don’t like saving to the hard drive first, then using explorer to drag and drop to the phone. (Which is the way I have to do it now. With every thing from 3D models right down to jpg)

I thing you are miss understanding what I am saying.
My phone does connect as a portable media player (just like you describe)
Is also connect as a camera (as freefaller describe)
Both modes required that I installed kies OR download the drivers to recognize my phone the first time (I do not use kies)
I don’t consider any of the two modes to be a flash/hard drive mode because the lack of a drive letter.
I want you to try something to help you understand what I am talking about (that I am looking for as true flash/hard drive mode.)
Connect to you PC and pretend it is a public PC like one in a library.
Go to a web page and right click an image and try to save it directly to your phone or SD without saving to the PC first.
If you can do that let me know. If you can’t, that is what I am talking about when I say it don’t have a flashdrive mode and windows mobile did.
