Good news for s3 users-
Android 5.0 Key lime pie has been released.S3 will receive the update shortly.But only 5 phones will receives update like s3,s4,note2,8.0,10.1 only.But the evergreen star samsung Galaxy S II deserves a 5.0 key lime pie update.

I never have problem using S3 as USB storages device but later today, when I connected back to my pc...I couldn't see storages (phone/memory card) in my PC. After awhile checking, I found out that I can still make it display by changing USB connection on S3 screen from Media Device(MTP) to Camera (PTP). My problem solved but I don't know why I have to do that! before was working fine under Media Device Mode.

I have a 64Gb flash drive with over 60 childrens films on it. That drive, with an OTG cable, keeps my grand daughter happy on the longest journeys.

does anyone know anything about usb charging. It seems the whole of the web is filled up with folks talking about pc laptop usb charging. It looks possible to use a tv port, although some tv usb ports are only to be used for software updates for the tv (like my tv), but my dvd recorder has usb plus, and yet i have found little to none info on usb charging. I may get some batteries with a usb charger, but god knows how safe it is to charge via usb from a wall socket or usb plus etc. Some folks say the item being charged only takes what it needs, others say it can damage both tv and phone for instance.

I'm using usb connect to PC and use the PC to control the phone by log into Google email account.In goolge account, there is PLAY selection on the top screen.Select that PLAY and it will open another Windows to PLAYSTORE

anyone else experiencing issues with the phone suddenly freezing up even on standby mode? Mine started early this week. the phone freezes up for no reason and i have to keep on removing the battery to make the phone work. I updated to the latest JB OS. im from the philippines.

It sounds silly, but try this..
Connect your S3 to your laptop. Pull the notification bar down and you will see the option 'Connected as a media device'. Tap on that and change it from MTP to Camera. It states 'Allows you to transfer photos using camera software, and transfers any files onto PC that do not support MTP'.
It might work.

It seems to be software related on your Pc(s).... moreI don’t maintain or install squat on the Work PC’s, there is I.T. for that.
As for home it must be an OS limitation. Because my tower is up to date. Stopped using laptops back when I got my HTC HD2. The light things I do on the go can be done on a big screen smart phone. : )
