I hadn't thought of doing it that way round; but it's logical when you think about it. The next time I flash my phone (about every two weeks) I'll try your method.
Poor ol' phone, I only have to get the USB lead out and it jumps into download mode by itself now! (LOL)

You have to check the CSC first when you use a ROM from another region/country, but luckily the UK ROM has English(Australia) installed so it will be OK for samalhg to use.

      @ freefaller

      I did it
I change the ROM on Sunday. but just like you I’m hooked on TouchPal so I have no way of know if the dial/contacts got faster or not with out undoing a bunch of setting I made so TouchPal would be default and the original would not even load at system startup. (just don’t feel like undoing the settings as I’m so happy with TouchPal)

      First time flashing this way…
      I powered off
      cleared my cache partition
then went straight to download mode without booting into the OS first.
And flashed to the ROM you are using.
Thankfully I didn’t have to hard reset after.

Normally I would flash the ROM first then clear the cache, but would still have to do the hardreset.

AnonD-81866, 15 Apr 2013@ Frefaller I tried it also.- https://play.google.com/s... moreIf it is really a SIII i9300 (what I'm going to tell you is for the i9300) and your problem is because of a region restriction. The restriction is in the ROMs and not the hardware it self. You can get around it simply by swapping the ROMs with one from a next region that dose not have that restriction (UK BTU for example)
Get the ROMs from sammobile and use Odin3 to do the swap
The latest UK BTU ROM is i9300xxemc2

and a buffer for CD's is to make the CD readable to the lens. put to the human eye it scratches the hell out of your CD.

hi dears, i got a used S3, it has light scratches on screen, i want to ask if i use the buff machine at it (which is used to remove scratches from CD and DVD's), will it damage the screen or harm the touch senstivity?

I hv bought the phone a month back. My phone sometimes suddenly becomes mute inspite of sound and volume being normally on. The ring starts only when i switch off and then i switch on again. This has become a regular problem. How can i get this problem rectified?

Go to the Google Play Store and install 'Mute' from MNO Company. I have tried it on my S3 AND my S3 mini just for you. It works 100%. Guaranteed. It silences all sounds (including the camera shutter) except for the alarm.
You shouldn't keep asking the same question over and over again when people have gone out of their way to help you and have given you the solution.

I got my s3 since 3 months so yea you can feel my frustration I could have waited for the s4 but nvm. I have no custom rom just pure Samsung but I've been having trouble with the device especially with intense gaming and sometimes web browsing. While playing fifa 12 for more than half an hour the app force closed and I couldn't open it again unless I removed the battery same thing happened to me while playing nfs. Sometimes when I'm web browsing the wifi turns off alone and cannot continue browsing unless I turn it on manually. But other than that it works fine and smooth and maybe lags for 1 or 2 times a week at max which is fine for me Bec I had the motorolla razr the old one which lagged many times.
