and type *#06# on your dialer to get the IMEI number of your phone. Enter that number into the search panel and it will tell you whether your phone was produced by a genuine company or not.

That 'Mute' app is better than I thought.
There is also a widget for it in the app drawer which is animated Red (OFF), and Green (On). The text on the widget also changes to 'Mute ON' to 'Mute OFF'.
The app silences ALL sounds except for the alarm.

Try this app, it took me less than 1 minute to find on Google Play Store. It is called 'Mute' by MNO Company.
You press the icon (a whistle) once on your desktop and it silences all phone sounds (including the camera sound). Then you press it again to put the sound back on.
It worked perfectly on my S3 and my S3 Mini.
I know our friend will read this and will probably try it, but I bet he's back next week asking the same question.

I've told him how to silence the camera sound using an apk that he could easily download (if his phone was real) but he won't because he purchased a fake S3.
I've told him he bought a fake S3 and so has Anthony but he won't believe us.

I am from India. I received an update a few days back on KIES. I read the comments here that the update was around 45MB. But when i upgraded the firmware, the update was around 900Mb. It was the same size of update when i upgraded from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2.
This upgrade did not change the android version. IT is still 4.1.2. The baseband version and build no. have changed from I9300DDELK1 and I9300XXELLC to I9300DDEMB1 and I9300XXEMC2.
I don't know what has the update changed. Can someone help? Have u guys received this?
Update: Play Music app was added.

S 3 is better than Xperia SP in following ways:
-Smaller screen size (it's a cell phone)
-More expandable memory
-Better secondary camera
-USB On-the-go (connect your flash drive to phone)
-The best? It's a quad core! Much faster processing!
Other specifications are mostly too similar or insignificant except that Xperia SP has double the HSDPA speed than S 3 which is not that necessary in most circumstances.
