The phone is fully functional once more with the 4.0.4 ROM on it now.
And I am going to give jelly bean a try again.
I know you should not believe everything you see on the internet but it does say it is the official ROM. Lol

I did it because I have a provider banded/locked SIII (got it at a steel of a deal) and the ROM was version 4.0.1
People with the factory unlocked SIII are already upgraded to 4.0.4
It is my opinion the my provider has no intension of bringing out updated ROMs as the average Jo is contented with the phone just the way it is.
Will I’m not. I like it enough to keep it but it does lag at times. And for those of you that are going to say I’m lying.... i really don’t give a what you think. It is me that has to deal with it every day.
And project butter seems to be the salutation to me. I use JB all day today with the camera not working and boy was it smooth. So now that I got the camera working again.... I’m going to give JB one more try. Hope I get it right this time. I’m not waiting to see if my provider will decide to come out with their locked JB ROM.
On another note... for the people that don’t have this phone and wanted to know.
Direct sunlight reading is not easy on this phone (key words DIRECT SUNLIGHT)

Iphone decides what is best. For example, when iphone will not go for NFC then NFC will not be a sure click in the industry not until iphone invests for it. All the best companies in the world use Apple products and technology because they trust the idea and specifications of Apple.

Hey all,
I am going to be getting a new Android phone soon, and I am currently torn between this and the Sony Xperia Ion. Both run with basically the same plans (the Sony's is slightly better), but I really prefer the look and feel of the Sony over the S3... Basically, I was wondering if I would be stupid to buy the Sony phone over the S3? I know that it has somewhat outdated specs in some regards... But frankly, I'm not a power smartphone user (this will be my first smartphone actually). Which is better for basically just a casual user?
(Cost is not a factor in this decision, by the way...)

jayesh13, 29 Sep 2012how to transfer apps to sd card in this fone ?? there is no... moreSorry mate but it's impossible to move Apps to external SD because Samsung changed the way external memory gets mounted so it is now recognised as separate memory and not as just a partition of the internal memory like every other Android does.
So the only way is to install App called Directory Bind and that lets you move any folder to external.

Still not getting my Google services to work (local, places, navigation, play store, maps and also not able to set-up my Google account as it takes forever to sign in but doesn't. Plus, now my Samsung Account is also not setting up and no matter how many times a day I try to set-up my Samsung account, it keeps on saying a "Samsung account update" available. I do that as well but no progress.
GUYS HELP ME OUT ON THIS PLEASE. It'll be much appreciated.

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2012i have a big problem, all my phones been to bright in sunli... moreplease adjust your phone brightness under "settings>display". uncheck the "automatic brightness" option and slide the brightness pointer to the fullest. i am an s3 user and trust me the display can be so bright that your eyes might get hurt!
