Yep it is a good idea to wait for the wp8 devices. One cant help but think Android's market share will slide. Good for Samsung that they dont care about a particular os and are building top end wp8 devices. Perhaps SIII is the last of its kind.

your lag issues, not sure sorry. mine is lag free so not sure whats going on with yours

May as well get a cheap nokia with good battery as it doesn't do anything else!!
Don't get me wrong I love my SGS3 and find the battery enough for me to use how I like and still get a day, but then again I am always near a charger so just plug it in if it gets low.
The home screen lag (slow redraw) though (as explained in my earlier comment yesterday), is totally unacceptable!!

I dont know with the other owners that complain about the battery life of this phone but the battery life on my s3 is good. And i definitely use wifi to browse the net and check emails plus listening to some music and watching a video or two. Maybe you guys should give your phones a rest sometime. There are other more worthwhile things to do than just sit and stare at your screens.

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2012the damn battery runs out quickly , what should i do to fix... morethere are various things you can do like turning off wifi/data when not needed, dimming the display or unchecking auto brightness, making sure you have no live wallpapers or running to many live widgets on your homescreens..
assume your already using the power saver option in settings.. umm.. turning off motion controls, s voice etc..or developers options in settings like Do Not Keep Activities, Limit Background Processes
making sure u clear all your background apps regularly.. hmmmm
plus if you google, battery saving tips for the s3 youll prob find a heap there too

HEY folkz ,,
I 've bought a new samsung galaxy sIII in pebbble blue last week , its a very awsome mobile that i have bought and experienced . I have noticed that the RAM was just 740 MB instead of 1 GB and the Application & games that i used downloaded goes and saves into phone memory . I'am so dipressed that there is no option to save it in SD Card . I also searched in play store also , i hav dowloaded that appp , but that could also not help me . Because of this the phone hangs and lags a bit little .........

YOYOP, 07 Sep 2012Nice one but doesnt show that option for Lock screen only f... morei gave my fourteen months old s2 to my wife and bought s3 last month in greenhills shopping center, ortigas, manila..my first time of buying a cel with no warranty..i've got that problem of yours too..tried all with no luck,black or even a dark plain colors got a fading bright colors on the right side of screen when on lock mode only which annoys me a lot..cel technician told me that it is lcd prob or got a faulty one.really piss me off! i sold it and bought again another s2 with warranty and on ics,happy to be back on trusted s2.
