Samsung should give updates to S3 .............. Still S3 best selling phone in market............. Samsung should think again............ Don't launch phone every day.....Care for old models like Note 2, S3, Grand 2............ Play mind game :)

KNOX was never on the S3! Why do you want it for? Do you even know what it is? Why would you want spyware on your phone?
You are one of those who think 'Oooh, I'm missing something. I want it , I want it' without having any idea of what it is.

Thanks for the tip but I didn't keep the S4 that long. KNOX should have been a downloadable app from the Samsung app site, not forced onto consumers without any way of uninstalling it.

Where ip addresses &security are pretty much nonexistent. I only heard of it as i watched a documentary, showing how at first it was set up with total security/freedom to browse wherever etc. However very quickly the criminal world found out & big business has been taking place. I would like to think in that case folks are able to be caught, though i doubt it. Its available on android under orweb. But is slow apparently

activate KNOX by set password then write wrong password ( 20 times ) the KNOX will automatically be deleted ... just try ....

GSMArena doesn't allow direct links to sites that begin https:// so you will have to copy & paste OR highlight and right click 'Open in new tab' (Firefox).
I would recommend the Material Light theme (there are 4). This keyboard is the most accurate one prediction wise that I have used.

I got bored and had nothing better to do so I thought I would flash my S3 back to v4.1.2
I was surprised how much better the S3 runs under that Firmware compared to v4.3
It's faster because it isn't bogged down with all the extra bloatware forced on us with v4.3 and is more battery friendly.
It didn't matter about increasing the binary count because the S3 will never go above v4.3 anyway.
Everything works, including the forthcoming Lollipop keyboard I had installed, so I think I will stay on this Firmware.

My question to U & @Revolution91 wat u say abt Xiaomi Redimi1S wen compared to S3 specs wise?

The S4 is superior to the S3 in every way except one. It has twice the memory, higher resolution screen, better chipset, and better camera.
So why did I sell it and keep the S3?
Well, the S4 has a piece of annoying spyware installed that I couldn't live with. It is called KNOX and it is impossible to remove. It was developed by the American NSA (National Security Agency) and allows the security services to spy on everything you do on your phone. You have to ask why the NSA is developing software for a phone, it certainly isn't for your benefit! If you go into App Manager you find that all options are greyed out; you cannot clear cache, clear data, force stop, or disable it. It sits there in the background eating away at your battery and sending information to God knows where.
Some people will say 'Well, if you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to fear'. That may be true, but I still don't like the ethics involved.
If you can live with being spied on all the time then the S4 is a nice phone, it's your choice.

Dear sir, when my ph is in less than 15%charge,i swtchd off the ph nd connect to charger.it is showing that charging is starting from 50% .whats the problem?

But the ones mentioned are fine to use, just remember to turn them off (not that i always remember) when you want to game, and i pressume multitasking is also a problem if the options i said are ticked.

dd, 09 Nov 2014how 2 de-activate d developer option? pls adviceYou might not have them set up. On firmware 4.1.2 they are already on the phone, and found in settings. Just scroll down to the bottom of the list. On 4.3 you need to select more- about device- and then tap build number about 10 times. Its easy and will tell you developer mode is set up. I only use them for limit background processes to 4 at most, & sometimes i have do not keep activities on. As said i turn the dev' options off when gaming as if gaming or multitasking then the apps/games dont work properly.
