First of all, what size SD card are you using. Don't go above 32Gb on the S3.
Then format the card through the phone. Go to Settings/Storage, scroll down to SD card, and use the 'Format SD card' option.
If that doesn't work then the problem is with the SD card itself.
I (and others) have found that Sandisk cards have a problem with the S3. I've had that make of card fail on me in the past.

I've been running my S3 on v4.1.2 for 3 days now and I can't put my finger on anything specific but it just runs smoother than it did on 4.3
Everyone knows how sluggish the S3 is on 4.3 and how fast the battery runs down. I've tried to establish why everything is so slow compared to 4.1.2 but can't work out why.
We all know that 4.3 was rushed out just to satisfy the masses, but because the S3 will never get any further updates I've decided to leave it on the older Firmware.

Freefaller™, 11 Nov 2014@ dd Google doesn't always publish updates to their apps... morem frm India n version 5.0 was already there on my S3 fr playstore, but due to d gallery sharing issue, I gave my device to service center..n after I brought my device frm service center its not upgrading to latest 5.0 version don't know why :(

Google doesn't always publish updates to their apps 'en masse' by usually region by region. It's possible that the latest Play Store update hasn't been released in your region yet.
Direct Connect Manager - Allows you to set up a bluetooth bridge between your PC and the phone.
Share Manager - Allows you to view multimedia files from your phone on your TV.
Remote Controls - Allows you to use youe phone as a TV remote.
As you can see, none of the apps you mentioned will affect the Play Store app.
Once you have installed the Play Store app onto your phone you can safely delete the .apk file on your SD card.

1.so shall i delete d .apk file, which z now at Download folder of phone??
2.Wat do u think cud b d reason dat playsotre was not upgrading to current version..do u think i disabled ne app by mistk which i shud enabled now
3.I have disabled "direct connect mngr", "direct share mngr" & "remote controls"..will this hinder any app's performance on my device? & what is d use of these 3 apps?
I know m askin too much but i need sum knowledge.

KNOX was never on the S3! Why do you want it f... moreOn a similar note :-) I am actually very impressed with 4.3 mostly as it supports the dock so much better. Like the keyboard now doesnt show up on the tv, so that i now dont have to manually press right click or back to remove it each time I type. And then there is the automatic landscape mode and the blank screen on the phone when the bt dongle is in the dock. Though it might just be for appearances, as it is maybe simply a black overlay on the phone screen.
So remind me if you want to what were all the downsides? I recall buggy and wifi was an issie for some...but were there others particularly? ...since I may eventually updat my other s3 to 4.3.

question about RAM on this phone. - If I long press menu button and bottom left pie chart and click on RAM at top it says RAM status 737MB/831MB - why 831MB and not 1024mb (1gb) of ram? - and also does that mean I have 737MB available out of 831MB? or does it mean I am using 737MB out of 831MB? - thanks.

good phone - takes very good pictures as well, i find a bit laggy still in places even though quad core and have frozen most of the bloateware and clear caches

But if it bothers you that much then just download the latest version, put it on your external SD card, and use 'My Files' to install it.

None of these 2 I found easy to use..so i installed "Emoji Keyboard" simple UI..easy & friendly to understand...yeah i was bit apprehensive of using any app bcoz now a days my S3 performing low..even though many bloatware apps r closed..but thnx to this forum where i get good tips frm u guys 😊

From reading your last post and previous others it has struck me that you are frightened of trying anything out for yourself.
Install the keyboards I mentioned, try them out, and if you don't like them uninstall them. You won't hurt your phone by trying.

I have purchased s3 in may 2014.First 3-4 months its working fine.But after some times without using any app my battery percentage reducing like crazy.at night 11 if my battery percentage is 40%-50% then at morning 7-8 the phone is switched off due to 0% battery.I didn't know the reason why that much battery drain while in stand by mode.Still im facing the same issue.Now for a single day i have charge my phone 2 times to 90% approx.
