AnonD-223906, 06 Nov 2014ppl with problems with this cell, just factory reset device... morethe ones with non rooted or rooted s3... get rid of or disable bloatware/ non usable apps to increase performance & battery life... Just go into settings > application manager> All > and disable apps u dont use ... or use my chosen list and disable only these to get more free ram , fast performance & increased battery life. disable these on 1. adapt sound 2. bubbles 3. clock (digital) 4. clock (modern) 5. direct connect manager 6. favourate contacts 7. Google text to speech engine 8. market feedback agent 9. multimedia ui service layer 10. music fx 11. PageBuddynotisvc 12. remote controls 13 samsung link platform 14 samsung push service 15. street view 16. tags 17. all share cast. 18. Analoge clock 19. deep sea 20. Direct share manager 21. dual clock analog and dual clock digital. 22. Facelock 23. Gamehub 24. Google search 25. Group play 25. Help hub 26. music hub 27. music live share 28. playGames 29. S-Voice 30. samsung apps 31. samsung link 32 samsung service 33. Favourite apps 34. talkback 35. videohub 36. manual 37. digital clock... all these apps are safe to disable... if need one just enable it... by disabling these extra apps u can get more speed & battery life and more free ram...

ppl with problems with this cell, just factory reset device all problem will be solved... but backup ur data first i.e. contacts sms etc... coz it will delete all user data. and if u use sd card check sd card with pc for file system errors or viruses... moreover wipe cache partition from recovery. (volume up+ power button+ home button press & hold all three buttons when phone is off hold them until u see green android man... look for wipe cache partition its perfectly safe to wipe cache partition...
For advance users there is new update out for s3 i9300
I9300XXUGNJ2 Nov 2014 release official stock 4.3 (open network unbranded update) with huge improvements. smooth performance and improved battery life... download via sammobile and use odin to flash...

You should root and install a custom ROM and see if that helps. Or you can format and reset if that works, if not try the first suggestion. Got to XDA forums for Rooting info.

my galaxy s3 has a litle problem. in fact, when I switch it off and when I changed a sim card, it loses the network I have to wait for several hours to get it and even when I have it I can't browse well. version 4.3

when you downgrade from 4.3 to the 4.1.2 You will get the problem of non-registration in the network. Because the modem will read the file ( EFS V2 ).So you have to change the modem also to become compatible with the ( EFS ) file . It is a complex operation !!! . So you have to think twice before you upgrade to 4.3 because return to 4.1.2 will not be easy at all !!!
what is ( EFS ) :
It is a hidden file that contains information about the network and the ( IMEI ) number and MAC address of the device. Without this file, the network will not work and can not be doing any connection.
My device on official 4.3 ( non- rooted ) without any issues ....only need to configure the settings to get the best performance ...
You can read my previous comment about getting the best performance for the Ram and the battery ...

Why do I have a stupid side bar which I dont use with the tab to open it in the middle of the suggested word selection box. Ie gotopick the word get the quick access side bar and not the word. Ridiculous.

The problem isn't with the phone, it's because you can't configure it.
Instead of getting annoyed, just ask, that's what this Forum is here for.
Anyway, go into Settings/Date and time. Untick 'Automatic time zone', set the time zone to where you reside, and then re-tick it.

AnonD-13788, 01 Nov 2014.there is a free app called ram booster that is a no gimmic... morethat's why i don't like install many apps such as games and social media because many of these apps are running in the background and consuming a lot of battery and Ram . Should be closed every time these services manually .... annoying routine !!!!!
