I think it's more than worth to look on YouTube, how to install a custom Rom.
A custom Rom with Android 7.1 is good enough for WhatsApp, Facebook and abit of surfing the web.
If you were not happy with it, you could then buy a new phone. If it is good enough, it saves you abit of money. Simple is that....

S7 edge will be perfect replacement i guess . . .
its pretty cheap now and it has exynos 8890, will be great for gaming.

My old Galaxy s4 got some burn in because of amoled. The screen have uneven colours.At 1/4 from the top it is real white but the rest of the screen is yellowish. Can this problm be solved by replacing the screen?

After freaking out on spending money on a new phone, I saw humidity inside, so I just waited to dry with some help of desiccant, and everything worked well.

Still working fine after 4 years and a half ( purchased may 2013 ) . only changed the battery . Great phone . this was a premium top of the line phone in 2013 , thats why the spec are still decent nearly 5 years later . We the crazy price of smartphones and exonorable price of plans here in Canada discourage me to get a new phone . This one allow me to have a cheap plan since the phone is mine now . I had a Sd card ans sim card problem ... i switched the sim card + sd card reader ( come in one module with both) .. cost 8 $ with screwdrivers etc included in the kit . Took 10 minute .. very easy . I dont know if i would buy this phone in 2017 but if you have one and it still work , keep it . It does the job fine . i hope it will last another year ... 5-6 year with a phone is great lifespan . Greatest purchase i made at the time when cell phone were cheap with 3 years plans . i paid 100 $ for this phone in 2013 .. for 4 years and a half of use . Cant ask better

i dont know whats wrong with this phone but it is always very VERY HOT whenever i use it..i mean the only time its not hot is when the display is turned off but as soon as i start using it again "boom" its blazin hot again..wheather im deeply using the device or not its always blazin hot from the moment i pick it up and start using it...it also destroys batteries ...i literaly baught 10 batteries for this device in eleven months..i dont know if its because of the heat but the batteries get bloated up real fast and would instanty stop and refuse to charge... i would really like some help with this thank you
