I have a galaxy s4 (i9500) and got it in used condition, a year ago. Never suspected a single problem in it.
Today I powered off my mobile for charging then after 25 minutes I took it off. I held the power button then I saw my boot logo(Where there is written Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9500). That logo kept showing as usual for 2 seconds and screen went black and again that logo appeared for 2 seconds and screen gone black and again it appeared, so, I'm stuck in kinda loop not a bootlooop exactly(maybe because bootloop refers to being stuck on boot screen while in my case its boot logo). I then removed the battery and inserted it back after an hour and as soon as I inserted it back the mobile itself turned on as if I held power button but this time again I was stuck in that loop. Moreover when I tried going into download mode, I didn't even need to hold the power button along with the volume down and home, it itself proceeded to confirmation screen of odin mode. And after that confirmation screen appeared saying that whether I really want to boot into download mode, disappeared itself after like 3 or 4 seconds even though I didn't press any key. And in case I press vol up key confirming to boot to download mode, then it again takes me to that loop. I'm too much confused . I can't even flash the firmware as it won;t boot to download mode neither am I able to boot into recovery.
Now do u really think the problem might be the power button(Which is maybe stuck in the state of pressed).
Or else it can be the battery coz my battery is also just average not too good?
I also inserted the command( in build.prop file) for enabling nav. bar and the code was correct but I never rebooted after inserting that. this was the first time I rebooted after that.

one of the best Android phones i ever had.only minority the weak battery ,but no big deal

When in Message+ and I try to type a message the keyboard in minimized and displayed over the area you type so you can't see it. How can I get it back to the normal location??

DAMM, 30 Jun 2017I BOUGHT a new s4 ,and beenusing it for nearly 6 months.I c... moreok thurn on the bluetooth, then press on bottom for menu and it show for how long you wanth to be visible , 2min - 1 hour or ''never time out'' ,, enjoy with your music :)

Most of the problems you read on here are mostly to do with fake phones which most people are unaware they have bought at a bargain price. Not saying an original does not have faults, but buy something that is too good to be true ( price wise ) and you will always end up with problems and look for answers on here.

I BOUGHT a new s4 ,and beenusing it for nearly 6 months.I connected through bluetooth to a rechargeable bluetooth speaker.I t works for just 2 minutes,
I tried reconnect but the bluetooth does not hold.switch off and re tried but bluetooth no longer stays on the "on" position,
Can someone advise if there is a remedy

Just got a London used S4... fone works perfectly fine but goes off when the battery is bellow 25%...but then the screen does not respond after charging.. the fone comes up but does not swipe.. could it be the battery?

If your phone get heated up . Just turn off all the features . And do battery replacement . I recommend to find a high capacity batteries . Theres a lot of type of them that suitable the s4 . Im using the 2600mah pisen high qualitiy battery and heating problem completely gone( bought from lazada) . im also using a custom rom that removed alll the useless apps .

Believe me I bought A5 2015 rather than S4 , and I got android 6.0.1 update ... despite A5 is nice phone .. but I am really regret ..
Your older S4 is much better phone , it is much faster , better sound quality, and of course better camera. .. more than that , your device still getting updates for its stock apps
On my galaxy a5 I can't update music player or video player ... thank God they finally realise an update for Samsung Internet ... so don't upgrade your device .... or you be better if buy one of 2017 midrange models or higher

Jellybean is the highest my phone updates to 😬 Some things on the play store are not compatible and can't be installed.. (Eg. Microsoft Word)

3 years... I am still using but of course im not happy with it. Im gonna stil wait for death of my phone.
