Galaxy s4 is the best phone, i've been using it since 2014 but sadly this year my s4 got a problem says 'charging paused. Battery temperature too low' when i try to charge it. Can someone pls tell me what's wrong with it? I love my s4 so much... and i think the lollipop upgrade is one of the reasons.

that's why I rejected lolipop update since I first read that everyone complained about the quickly drying battery and problems with the application. although you do lolipop update you should be able to install a new(old) ''OS kit kat'' in each service for mobile phones and it costs about 10 euros.
my batteries after 2 years has begun to heat up and I replaced with a new one,
do not empty battery below 25% and not to charge more than 95%, I also installed application ''Greenify'' and the battery lasts longer than before, try small applications without adds.

Anonymous, 21 May 2017 If you did 5.0 update on your phone, then the battery dra... moreThanks alot for the charging tip,I never let this phone battery dip down more than 20% and usually plug in the charger before it reach 20% but I charge it til 100% every time.I updated this phone to Lollipop 5.0 somewhere on 2014 or 2015 when it's 1st release in Malaysia,it started to lag and overheat far worse than Kit Kat 4.4.Kinda regret update it to Lollipop but I might gonna buy other phone in the nearest time,Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 I guess?The performance might not be an issue at all,Cortex-A53 still perform admireably better Cortex A15 + A7 CPU.Mali T830 should handle the graphic task better than SGX544 I guess,both also come in tri-core.

If you did 5.0 update on your phone, then the battery drains very quickly. if you're not then you simply do factory data reset
Battery consumption depends on the applications you have installed on the phone and working in the background even if you do not use the phone. such as; facebook, instagram, messenger,snapchat,Netflix,etc, so if you delete these apps and use them through the browser , thus saving up to 40% of the battery (day)life , the display put on minimum brightness and wi - fi, bluetooth,3G use it when you need.
li -ion batteries work better when you are not used to the end 0%,but most to 25 % and then put the battery to charge75-90% , ( why?)
lithium-ion batteries have a rated lifetime of somewhere between 500 and 1,500 charge cycles.
so if it reach 100% or less then 25% then it lose 1 cycle.(the user runs it down all the way to zero before recharging) can degrade to 70 percent of its original capacity in 300-500 cycles
With a DoD of 25 percent, where the user plugs it in as soon as it gets to 75 percent remain, that same battery could be charged up to 2,500 times before it starts to seriously degrade.
Charge a little bit whenever you can.
Lithium-ion batteries don't respond well to being charged all the way up and then run all the way down. They take much better to little bits of charge here and there.What's far more dangerous to a battery's well-being is heat. Lithium-ion batteries despise heat.

Still using the phone and recently received an update that as big as 360MB something,I kinda forgot what's the description but anyway it kinda fix my phone from being overheat faster(Too much app running in the backgrpund and excessive mobile gaming).Battery still drain quite fast whenever I turn on the music player and streaming Youtube video or gaming(Can't expect an old SoC built on 28nm doing well on 2600Mah battery),my S4 starts to lag even if I just wanna load Whatsapp but that should be done once I do maintenance checkup on my phone.The phone perform admireably to me but if anyone focus on a better battery life,S4 might not the right choice anyway.

Great device with bad battery. I've been using it for almost 4 years. It's a super mobile phone but the only issue is the battery.

Samsung Galaxy s4 is a phone really and awesomely manufactured from the Samsung Co. Ltd....
Its use is excellently splendid,has a soft touch and on top has an excellent performance.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the best phone the world has ever seen, I love this phone because I can play flappy bird all day long without having to charge it, the display was so clear, I was able to beat my previous high score of 2, and I was able to get to level 3.
I also love the S4 because you can install Crossy Road (best game ever) and run it at
100000000FPS

I've using my S4 since the day it came out and I've had no major issues so far. No heating, no nothing. Only thing that bothered me was the low amount of internal storage that keeps filling up relatively easily, even though I have a 32GB SD in there.
