If you have battery issues when updated to 4.4.2, do the following: Go to developer options and then check: "Don't keep activities" that will improve battery life a LOT

Please update galaxy S4(I9500) to lolipop, b... moreFor the screen smearing, it's a hardware issue. To avoid it, use brightness greater than 10%.
Also lollipop will fix these issues as the interface is white and smearing happens when there is some color on black.

Go with S4. It's old but reliable. Did you notice why G3's prices slashed down so much. That's because it's not a very great phone.

Look at your budget and extend it slightly to get s5 or HTC E8. If you can't afford them, then go for S4 now as I don't think prices are going to be cut down further. But stocks can run out.

Guys i have beem using s4 since it released its great phone when i used it ..brought for 40000rs i heard the lollipop updates comin on jan 2015 and i have a option of taking the g3 or s4 back to hostel , bt g3 inspite of getting the lollipop update has slight stutter special when goin to app which irritates me a lot ..s4 never had that prob otherwise g3 is also a amazing phone .. Im really confused which to take because i saw the s4 5.0 demo video by sammobile and looks more fast and responsive and really modern on par with s5 lollipop ..plz help me decide this pple what should i take the s4 which has been loyal to me for a year or the g3 which is brand new completely

Dear Samsung,
Please update galaxy S4(I9500) to lolipop, but dont just update, do make some optimization on the part of lagging issues and screen smearing some of your customers are facing.
Because this phone is a beast in terms of Performances, Design, Weight, Camera, Battery backup, & everything.

B... moreCalibrating has a simple way.
Discharge your phone to 0% till it shuts down. Now try to start the phone without plugging in. It will start up. Now drain the battery till it shuts down agaiun. Try to start it again and repeat until the phone doesn't start up.
Now charge till 100%. Unplug and plug the charger. It'll start charging even at 100%. Wait till it informs you to unplug the charger. Unplug and plug again. Repeat till as soon you plug in, it tells to unplug it.
Now your battery is calibrated.
