hello. I hv s4 i9500 kitkat. after rooting then unroot my phone shows that the device is modified, update not available. plz tell me the solution fot that situation.

      i hv samsung s4....
      its awesome but battery drainage so high!!
      100% battery end just in 2 or less hours!
      70% battery usage on screen birghtness n all!

        Anonymous, 14 May 2014im my phone ...the face detection features are not function... moreI assume you are aware of switching those features on either from the notification toggle or from the settings menu.
        With that assumption, if these functions are not working, open the file manager, search for a folder named ".face" in the Internal Memory, delete it and then restart your device and try again, it would recreate the files it use for Face detection features and would start working again.

I'll tell you the complete breakdown and you choose what you want. Firstly, we take into account that nexus 5 doesn't have an sd card slot and the 16 gig version will give around 12-13 gb storage. That's not enough. So you will have to go with 32 gb nexus 5 as you have to keep internal memory as free as possible as when you deplete internal memory, phone gets too slow and laggy.

                  So let's compare 16 gb s4(i9500) and 32 gb nexus 5.

                  Build and looks: nexus has a more fragile build and has non removable battery whereas s4 has removable battery, sd card slot and a decent build( it has taken fall atleast 15 times and just has some scratches).

                  Screen: s4 obviously. Better viewing angles, contrast, perfect blacks and better sunlight legibility in s4 screen. You can't match an amoled with lcd.

                  Battery: s4 has around 50% more battery life.

                  UI.:Now this depends on personal preference. You like features and power or you like speed. Nexus 5 is faster. Really fast. In return, s4 has touchwiz which is slower but has a very functional ui.

                  Speaker: I believe nexus 5 has the lowest quality speaker I have seen on a phone. Oh they really sound cheap and volume is kinda low. S4 has mono but loud speakers.

                  Camera: s4 thrashes nexus 5 in camera. Nexus 5 has a lower res. Smaller sensor and the proccessing is also not good. So the nexus 5 doesn't produce good images. S4 is quite good in camera and wind by a large margin.

                  Performance: nexus 5 takes it. It's faster and has a better chipset.

                  Updates: Google has 1.5 year upgrade plan for every nexus whereas Samsung has period of more than 2 years. But s4 released earlier. So both will recieve upto same time. But nexus recieves update earlier. See, don't worry about updates, google and Samsung are pretty good at it. Note that now both phones are at kitkat.

                  Price: in India, nexus 5 32 gb costs much more than s4 16 gb.

                  Now its your choice. You choose what you wanna buy.

I am using a Nokia 1200 for past two weeks, and haven't missed it for a single second other than when I need to check the scores of football via TheScore.

                                No premium on design from lower models to the most expensive it all looks the same plus everyone seems to have that phone ever were I look including the fake ones

I was very confident that I won't be able to scratch it because it has GG3, but after using it for 3 months without any type of protective screen I saw three very mild scratches. So applied a screen protector.

                                        Glass screen protectors are great. I highly recommend you to apply one.
