Is there any inherent disadvantages of FOTA updates? I have personalised my phone with apps, launchers, homepages and wallpapers, and don't want to lose the result of so much effort by resetting my phone and starting from scratch again. Does the backup option in Kies back up all personal data, including apps, homepage arrangements etc? I would like to update to 4.4, if I do it thru FOTA without resetting the phone before or after, what are the likely issues I might face?

Anonymous, 22 Mar 2014Download Kites 3.0 and download the New Firmware.Use the FOTA option. Go to applications press update software.

[deleted post]I don't have a broadband. I have a 500 mbps LAN connection. Now this is superfast. And I have an unlimited amount of that. So I can use a router and translate it into a ultra high-speed wifi.
On a side note. You got a name. That's great news. Now we can easily identify the troll

in india,our net speed is quiet low and unfit for such phone.always time buffering is the start point and service not available due to low network is the end point.

Now a days Samsung had a lots of haters.I had S4 till day one and i had no problems at all.I am completely satisfied with this device.I love my I9500.

I am the user of i9500, but I feel that it becomes heatup with the long talk or net connectivity. Need actual answer.

As we don't foresee 4g here for at least a couple of years. So it's not at all important. And BTW, even the latest LTE, the LTE advanced is only giving 150 MBPS which is not 10 times faster than fastest HSPA+, which is 42 MBPS.
BTW, I have a super highspeed wifi at my room. So I don't care about these speeds. Anyways, when 4G comes here, it'll be insanely expensive here.

NOW U KNOW THE SIMPLE BASIC ANSWER .WE HAVE 4G ON OUR S4 X2- running at 40 mgs /sec.. today i went to local shopping MALL- immediate notifications of 5 different free superfast wifi availability choices .thats how it is OVER HERE . HOPE for better speeds OVER THERE .

I have had a Galaxy S4 for many months and I love it. It is reliable and fast. I never have problems with it. The phone/sound quality is great.
