1. What is the price of g2 a... moreFrom the answers you gave, lg G2 is the phone for you. S4 has a better screen, but you don't care about screen. It has sd card slot, but you don't have much collection. Also G2 is cheaper in your country. Camera and battery life are exactly equal in both
G2 is a phone with snapdragon 800. So, it will easily last longer as snapdragon 800 has 50% advantage in gaming over powervr sgx544mp3 in i9500. A better chipset is one of the major advantages of g2.
I9500 doesn't have any issues. You just have to calibrate the device slightly like disabling samsung link and push. Do a factory reset before and after os update. Most people don't do this. And later, all they do is whine and write bad reviews. A general user of s4 will not be as expert as a general user of G2 as he has blindly gone for G2. While a general user of G2 knows it's pros over other devices as every one has heard about s4 but still he chose G2.
One last thing. Get the 32 GB G2. as there is only 10 GB available in 16 GB version which by all means is very less.

LG G2 (32 GB) is some what cheaper then S4 I9500 (16 GB).. under 100$ difference.

As long as it survives. I bought S2 in 2012 and i have sold it this year in 2014. I can keep any phone for 2 years easily.
3. Do you game a lot??
Yes i do. havent played much heavy duty game in S2. But i m fond of playing games.
4. What are your storage needs?? This means if you like to store movies or have a lot of music collection?
I dont store much movices and music. 16gb storage is also enough for me but i will not take risk in G2. i will get 32 GB.
5. What are most important things you want from your phone?? Along battery life, great camera, great screen or any other.
I need a flawless phone. Basically a smooth phone without any lag. battery life and camera is also my primary concern. i m not curious about screen but the good screen is better.
6. Any other point you would like to say about which type of phone you want?
I want a phone that doesnt over heat. My S2 used to heat up alot. while skype or viber etc. I want a phone that doesnt lag. like if i m paying so much i dont want any slowness or any drawback. you know.
In my country LG does not have offical warranty center. soall the sets available here are imported with international warranty. While Samsung has a setup here.
See, THERE IS NO OVERHEATING ISSUE IN S4, NEITHER IN 2013 MODELS NOR IN 2014 ONES. I have used a lot os s4 s and most of people who are reporting those issues either don't know to operate a phone or are trolls. First , you decide which phone you'll purchase. I'll tell you a way to eliminate heating then. You just forget about it for now.
I have experienced this issue twice. one when i went to my friend place. he was doing nothing. just wifi was on .. the phone was significantly hot as it shouldnt be. S2 didnt heat up when u do nothing.

I have it last 2 month.
its not heated up too up..
its normal. ..
don't update it to kitkat no problem will be appear. .

tausif, 19 Mar 2014After reading first 11 pages of this forum, I beleive that ... moreI have an s4 and my father has a G2. We exchange our phones quite often. So I know about both phones in much detail. You can trust me. I won't favor any brand or phone.
First , let's decide b/w i9505 and i9500. I9500 is better every way you look at it. it has a much better cpu (40-50% faster), better camera( especially at night) as i9500 has a better camera sensor exmor RS over exmor R in i9505. i9500 also has better audio due to wolfson audio chip inside it.
Now we come to i9500 v/s g2. It's a very difficult choice to make. one is better in some way and other one is better in other way. You just answer the following questions.
1. What is the price of g2 and i9500 s4 in your country?
2. For how long do you plan to use your phone? 1 year, 2 years or any other
3. Do you game a lot??

shubham yadav, 18 Mar 2014Press the menu button when you are in music app. Go to sett... moreAfter reading first 11 pages of this forum, I beleive that S4 I9500 has 2 major issues; 1 is heat up issue and another is battery drain issue. battery drain issue can be manageable but heating up thing can not be stopped. I also read i9505 forum on gsmarena, there i also found bunch of complains. while i read nexus 5 and lg g2 forums; instead of complains, i found many ppl admiring LG phones and recommending it to get it. and in Samsungs forum every guy is with issues.
I m now confuse; which phone shall i go for; i had narrow down my choices to S4 i9500, S4 i9505 or LG G2. LG was not my favourite but seeing good reviews of it is changing my preception about LG. Please advise. which phone shall i go for for an easy worriless life.
P.S i went to a market for survey, the shop keeper said S4 of 2014 doesnt have heatup issue. but in the same forum i read a guy bought his phone last week and he also had heatup issues :/

Anyone facing issues turning on Sync post 4.4 update or the update on Gmail by Jan end?
I did face it last day and ended up in a hard reset.
I did 4.4via kies and did reset tht time as well,still.
Seeing many hits on the same issues since few days when i checked online.

Very disappointed.. just buying s4 about a few days ago.. Already upgrade to kitkat from jb.. problem that I've faces is myphone need 3/4sec to switching back from screen lock without activate any security login.. another problem is sometimes myphone will hang a few sec after end call.. then a big problem is,when i playing game,it keep asked force closed.. damn!
