mine got a great earphones and s4(octa only) offers much better sound than htc one x and close to htc one. I have experienced it. The one x Just had a loud sound. That's not lovely. just listen on both side by side. The s4 has way clearer output with better bass. its pure sound.
You can also see the frequency response of s4 in s4 octa vs s600 comparison by gsmarena. It's almost perfect. The wolfson DAC has the best output of any phone available.but unfortunately this is available in only the octa variant of s4. look at my comment below. I told him it depends on version.
and the stock music player is great. It also has a decent equilizer. go to music player. press menu button. go to settings>soundalive> custom and boom there is a great 7 band equaliser with an extended option for bass and reverberation etc. and the best thing about stock is that it is optimised for your phone. It can come in lockscreen and all plus it has adaptsound etc.

You can find the Model number on the bottom of the box (left hand corner), and it is also printed on the 'Quick Start Guide' included in the box.

FREEFALLEN. iphone 5 s &c rocketting sales .. stop ur meaningless this n that - of no significance to majority of s4 owners who rely on SAMSUNG for factual useful infos and updates .. N stop boasting about ur broadband speeds - and any abuses ==same to u x2..

Yeah, the earphones that come in the box are a bit s**t, aren't they; but then the same applies to all manufacturers. I suppose it's all down to cost.
Coming from an HTC One X (lovely sound), you will notice the difference with the S4. Investing in a decent pair of earphones will make a big difference. I also use PlayerPro Music Player for my music; it has a decent equaliser which is a big improvement on the stock one. You can get a free 10 day trial app on Google Play Store.

some iPhone guy was convincing in the mall it nails s4 octa core anyday...and I was smiling... I replied Ill consider iPhone only wen u can customize like android anytime and not wait like 4 years for one simple update and screen size gets better bigger like 5 inch atleast and it can play all videos out of the box without jailbreak....wait sorry it just cannot do this...until 2020????????? Lol...sorry iPhone u just suck as u very selfish and steal a ransom from everyone pocket by getting little ugrades every year.ppl are seriously not able to realize this...they know it but wont admit it...too much iPhone pride..fact 101. s4 Aka Android rocks

I believe the only way is through a wifi router either external or built in.
I will be highly grateful if anyone can enloghten me how to do this if he can do a workaround without rooting.

I had planned to buy note 3 but when I realised, spending that much amount on phone would be very stupid thing to do. So I turned over to s4 and note 2 and I'm confused which one to buy. suggest me the best one among them people over the net say that s4 feels very cheap in hand. Mostly due to the classic aluminium(metallic) band on s4. My question is, does it really feel that cheap when you are holding it in hand? I mean does it feel cheaper than s3 or not?...

Check to see if you have turned 'Talkback' on by mistake.
Goto: Settings/My device/Accessibility/(Services) Talkback and make sure it says 'Off'.
