It's an awesome phone. The best phone Samsung has launched in the Galaxy Series so far. It beats the Apple Iphone 5 any given day. The newly launched Samsung Note 3 is just an extension of Samsung S4 with bigger screen & same features of S4.Go for the Samsung Galaxy S4!!! Best buy!!!

like i used s2 for three years and it was a superb phone touchwiz is really practical but i lost my phone when it eas overheated and god knows why it is not repairable.
please advise is s4 has overheating issue or signal strength problem?

I am not an expert. I am just helping out some people who have certain queries as i have done much research on them. My favorite topic is htc one vs s4 as it took almost one month for me to decide between both of them. i am putting the results or the summary of what i found out. i will try to be as much unbiased as i can.
Strictly speaking, there is no absolute winner between these two. There are so many factors varying between them. see, people have different choices and requirements so their 'better' can be different than yours. also its important to note that there are 2 major variants of s4, snapdragon and exynos i will call them s600 and octa respectively.
design and build: htc one takes it away by a huge margin. it not only looks better, but also feels better.
ergonomics: s4 is the winner, it has smaller size, is thinner but yet packs a larger screen, bigger battery and removable back. this is a huge plus for s4.
screen: personal preference but most people will find s4 screen better because of saturated colours, bigger display and sky-high contrast. the screen of s4 can show 97% of RGB colours compared to some 67 68% of one. also it displays much better whites(source: displaymate)
performance: the octa wins by a great margin. for gpu, all 3 are almost equal but comparing cpu on geekbench 3, octa:2330
s600:1900
one:around 1900
the htc one ui is smoother but you can make s4 very fast by doing some tweaks in settings.
camera: in daylight, htc one stands no chance, not even close to any one s4. in night though, the htc one gets ahead of s600 but is almost equal to octa in night mode.
ui: i like touchwiz as i want functionality over better design. in touchwiz, you can do more on anything and everything is very neatly organised. but thats a personal choice.
audio: htc one wins it. its just ahead of octa and a tad ahead of s600. the speakers are great
so you can see the differences and there is no clear winner. but i can make it easy for you.
for a common man new to android/smartphones:
htc one> octa> s600 as he just wants basic features andhtc one delivers them swiftly and has eye candy ui and design
for a somewhat advanced user(not so advanced):
octa>htc one>=s600 as he will tweak the settings of s4 and he will efficiently use the hardware and camera etc.
for a geek, highly advanced user:
octa>s600>htc one as for him, hardware matters, not the design and he can utilise the whole potential of octa hardware.
i didn't compare some aspects like battery life and features but let me tell you that for normal people, battery life lasts one day for all of them and s4 has insane no. of features but you won't use many of them often.(i use them but i assume many people won't).

And if all 8 cores are enabled then it's going to wash out every phone again. Htc one is only good in looks. Most of the video comparison on the Internet are based on snapdragon 600 version of s4. You need to do alot of research mate. You have been mislead by someone or something.

It is not easily repairable , ifix proved that .xperia z is another disaster with washed out screen ,back glass panel problem and water logging issue .you enjoy , both craps.

we have s4 ..works ok .. htc one may be better -but dont know - we r due soon for anather upgrade handset -think we shall wait for google nexus 5 -due soon ..pity self appointed fanboys and trollers muddy the issues ..

Gr8 phone I have ever seen.. even best thing is we can change back cover and give a premium look. I normally change it at every 6 months and my phone become new with new look.. That is advantage to have Samsung phone.
