From 800 MB and up free RAM sounds good. 1GB free RAM, better; not because 800 is not presumably enough, but to keep background processes and some features controlled to get more battery life.
I currently use a Motorola Razr i, which has 1GB of RAM and when I purchased it had 450-500+- free RAM after a reboot. Then after personalized to my needs with some apps I need running it currently gets 370+- of free RAM after a reboot. And this has been enough for me being a quite advanced and exigent user. I like torturing my smartphones and this one has been passing all trials ^-^
So, good news if after getting familiarized with the S4 I will be able to get at least 800MB of RAM. Then after setting it to work as I want I will probably be able to get more free RAM to increase performance and battery life.
My devices have to work as I want, I'm their owner and they are my slaves.
Thanks, again. I'd go for the S4 for the upgrade if in early September there's no better choice n.n

WE HONESTLY FEEL samsung have been stupid trying to be overclever by overhype misleading infos .. WHY SO MANY MODELS OF S4 ? are samsung bosses trying to be OVERSMART ? NO WONDER SALES of s4 -only launched 10weeks ago- have been dropping .. SAMSUNG SHARES had $ 10 billions wiped off due to falling sales of s4.. NOW THINK OF THE HELPLESS HAPLESS CUSTOMERS -SAMSUNG BOSSES . btw- we upgraded to s4 6 weeks ago but NOT GOING TO UPGRADE OUR 3 MORE LINES TO S4 NEXT MONTH .WE FEEL disappointed with samsung HARDSELL insulting samsung bosses own intelligence .and misleading s4 infos by samsung .

I prefer OTA update,no specific reason in that,but its handy to do that.
I think Samsung push is disabled we wont able to c update released frm Samsung..wat u say?

i bought galaxy s4 I9500, specification says its internal memory is 16 GB, but in its setting its shows only 8.9GB as total space?
