I have this particular phone. It was working fine when I was on 4.2 jellybean. But after upgrading to 4.3 update, certain problems arisen.
Wifi not stable and poor signal strenght.
Battery draining rapidly.

Hi everyone,
I am going to give honest review by using galaxy s4 for 8 months.
Galaxy S4 was launched on 26 april and I baught this phone on 2nd may. I was not very heavy user of apps and games, so I just had small games like temple run and subway surfers. The experience of playing these games on s4 was awesome and it didn't lag. In my 8 month experience my phone lagged 3 times in which 2 times was quite noticiable.
After update 4.2 I started using my phone havily. I started playing games like asphalt 7 and asphalt 8 and the phone really worked well and it never hanged during the game. My friend had iphone 5 and we played game at same time and I want to tell that graphics looks good on iphone 5 but the gaming experience on s4 is awesome, especially due to bog screen. Touch screen of s4 is really better than iphone 5 and I am dam sure about it because I have used personally used them both. And in 4.2 update my phone hanged once for very small time.
Last month I got 4.3 update. So I baught 2 games that are Dark Knight rises and wild blood and I want to tell that after update I never got any laging Issues on my phone And I am really happy about it.
This was gaming experience. Now I will tell about Android playstore experience.
Eventhough apple and android are having same number of apps but the quality of apps are on apple store. Most of apps are on android playstore but apple app store is unique.
Then my openion comes to camera. I really enjoyed the camera of galaxy s4. Espacially its different modes and I love them. These are unique and I assure you when you will use these features infront of iphone users they will be jealous. Camera quality of s4 is also awesome, may be it looks ok on phone screen but when you will watch that photo on laptop screen then you will come to know about it.
Further to samsung featured. I really use samsung built in features very less. Most of time I use s-memo and s-planner for my schedules and rest of them I never use. So they just use the space for me. But still they are lot efficient. Like the s - health you can know how much you run and how much you lost calories and other stuff is also appreciateable.
Then my openion comes to unique features of galaxy s4 like smart pause and air gestures. I really use them rarely. Firstly for smart pause, it is only helpful if you if you are watching movie but if you are listening song then smart pause is really annoying. Then air gestures are really useful but if you use them properly but I never use them because they are not in my requirement.
Finally comes to built in quality. Samsung has used plastic body but the plastic they have used is premium. People complain a lot about quality of samsung but I tell you that I have no scratch on my phone after 8 months of useage and it looks brand new. If you are jealous about iphone don't be. I know aluminium is a way better, but lastly everything depends on how you take care of your stuff. Even iphone users complain about the removal of paint from iphone. Even they are having slight scratches on the shiny corner part of iphone and I am dam sure about the scratches on shiny parts. If you think I am speaking lie then check your iphone right now on the corners.
Then people complain about heating issues and I will say that they are true, but that is normal. Every device gets hot from computer to car everything becomes hot. I tell you simple reason why android devices gets more hot as compared to iPhones.
If you are opening a web page in android and you minimize the browser inbetween loading page for 5 mins and after you open it the page will be loaded but in ios if you minimise the page in between loading the loading will stop there and it will start after you open browser. So that means in android background processes goes on. Android devices become hot due to multi - tasking which is not possible in ios devices.
The most lovely feature of galaxy s4 is multi-window. That is you can do 2 works at same time. To understand it better I explain you in this manner that the screen splits in 2 parts so that you can do 2 works at same time. Eg- you can watch youtube and text message to your friend at same time because the screen splits in 2 parts.
Also the best thing is you will get updates of further android versions for s4. Even if samsung is not providing it you can custom rom your phone but I suggest not to do so.
For me I have invested my money on right phone and everything depends on you that what you need from your phone.
If you are comparing s4 with iphone. I suggest you not to do so because of different operating systems. Both are unique and good in their prospectives and just remember that nothing is perfect in this world.

I bought this phone yesterday for my gf, AND DID YOU KNOW that the samsung keyboard after update got emoji emotions default!!! You dont have to download some crap app like goo sms or kii keyboard or other crap.
I was surprized.. but I just wonder why this emotions arent on my note 2 after update..

I have had this phone since May 2013 when it was released, I upgraded from an S3, before that I had the S2. I loved the S2, the S3 in terms of looks wasn't an upgrade but the hardware was, when I upgraded from the S3 to the S4, I actually thought what have I done... The S4 is a bit better on paper, but most of the sales gimmicks Samsung use in this device, I never use! I actually disable them to stop them from eating battery or consuming processing power.
It started off with the device at the beginning of Dec acting weird and entered itself into a factory mode. The symptom was when you press the power button you do not have the extended power menu and it immediately shuts down. Another point is when you turn the phone off, any Wi-Fi point that you have connected too is no longer stored on the reboot.
I reported to Samsung on the 3rd Dec with the device returned on the 9th Dec with a letter explaining the problem. The first repair completed by Andy was not successful - I can only assume the letter was never read. I received the handset back and returned it to Samsung again explaining specifically over the phone the problem again and this time I thought it may have been repaired correctly. However to my extreme disappointment when I received it Thurs 2nd Jan2014 yet again the same problem is found with the phone when received back after "Simona" had performed a successful repair along with the Samsung Smart Service Checklist Completed (is this a paper exercise or actually followed)! I then had to return it again, with my phone still being in factory mode after 2 attempted repairs.
This has now left me without my handset for 6 weeks and I find this completely unacceptable. I have had to buy, out of my own pocket a S2 off ebay to tide me over whilst it was in for repair. I still haven't got the phone back and I am hoping to receive it tomorrow (17th Jan 2014), but this isn't guaranteed. To start off with I was impressed with their repair service, but this ongoing saga has left a bad taste in my mouth and ill feelings towards them.
I would advise people to go elsewhere for their handsets, Samsung keep reinventing the wheel and making gimmicky features half of the time you don't use because it consumes the devices battery being on.
I will be selling my S4 when returned and hope that other people will take heed of this review, if you currently have an S3 and are thinking of upgrading. Go with the Sony Z1, HTC ONE, or even get get the Moto G which is £130 on Amazon at the minute and don't have to tie yourself into a long contract.

i've been using this I9505 for a week now and it's awesome! I need help, I am used to send group message to 100 people per hour and i don't like any delays.
can someone recommend me an app that can do group message, except go sms. Thanks in advance :)

Great phone. The absolute best phone I've ever had. I only have one complaint. I am on my second S4 and the "Head Tilting" feature doesn't work on any S4 I know and have seen. It worked great on the S3 though...

hi am using GT i9505 s4.it was working nice but after 4 months of usage i got a problem.when i try to increase the brightness the display becomes white with some lines and when i reduce the brightness it becomes pinkish and dark even i dint let it down.sometimes the screen blinks when i tried with service centre in india they simply said we cant attend the problem because it is bought in u.k.can anyone help me i am sure thats not a display problem?

Hi Friends, My phone was get heated when phone connected to charge and then repair center said that motherboard has been damaged. they also said that they don't have mother boards for this model. so pls let me know a place to purchase it. im from Sri Lanka

to scrren capture just simply hold both home and lock key and wait for it to screen capture after you hear or see a light flash around the screen it means you already have screen captured it
