I am not able to download the settings for GPRS on Vodafone. It said the model is not supported. Has anyone faced the problem? What settings is to be changed?

This metallic camera looks awesome. Rock solid built. Pity it cannot play WAV files...unlike its older sibling the J-200.

To install skype, you must have GPRS activated. Now browse to http://m.getjar.com/
Scroll down until u find "Quick Download" link. Click on that link. For the WAP Application ID enter 59322 and click Download. Your download will begin and get automatically installed. Enjoy!!!

1) You are going to use a mobile for 2 to 3 years max
2) Look of availability of 3G in your area. If you are in India it takes time for people to use 3G. Even normal GPRS is not so affordable as of now in India :)
3) User interface of L700 is boring while S3500 is great and it will not bore you soon as L700 (as per review of GSM Arena of L700)
4) Why pay for an unused high end feature while you have features on a phone that you can use ?
My suggestion go for S3500 and think of any 3G phone when 3G becomes affordable in your country. Also note, even if 3G becomes affordable, the other end person need not use another 3G phone. 3G phones are waste of money as of now :)

Mpb, 31 May 2009I m also getting the trouble for default storage location, ... moredefault memory cannot set at a single shot in L700. However it can set seperately for camera,video recording,etc. This is how it goes.eg: setting memory card as default for camera.
settings->application settings->scroll right until you get default storage->select the storage as either phone memory or memory card. The same applies for other settings as well...good luck

Hi all,
I got to buy a phone with a Rs. 6-7k approx budget. Ive zeroed in on 2 phones viz: Samsung L700 and Samsung S3500. I like the slider silver looks of 3500 bt the features of L700 appear mouth watering enabled with 3G, document viewer and a better battery life. The price difference being of barely 500 bucks, (S3500 6.2k L700 6.7k) kindly suggest which 1 should I go for. Thanks.
PS: I would really prefer a high speaker vol(something as good as SE W300i)

I have recently purchased Samsung L700, last week. My opinion, display is pretty good in colour and in resolution. All Java applications work fine with this. I recommend for buying.... Skype Lite version, Gizmo 5 For Mobile, Google Map work fine on L700.
