I have recently purchased Samsung L700, last week. My opinion, display is pretty good in colour and in resolution. All Java applications work fine with this. I recommend for buying....

I have heard that the resolution on this phone is quite poor. I am planning to buy this cell. Please let me know if the display is really quite low as compared to other available phones in the market.

Very good phone. Has great looks. But its menu is very different from nokia phones. The background for the menu is white.
It does not have any preloaded themes but is there a way to somehow install themes on the phone from the computer or via bluetooth?

                *2767*3855#

...is the character sequence to full reset L700 to the factory settings. Please note that everything in the phone memory (including your contacts, messages, multimedia files and everything) will be lost in the process, memory card contents will be saved though. Additionally pre-installed games would also not be restored (atleast in my case).

                Good Luck!

I'm wondering, how can i backup my inbox and sentbox. Any sms having size > 160 Bytes amounts to be an EMS and can not be backed-up from within PC Studio. I want to backup all of my messages better if in the form of files inside my OS filesystem so that I can restore them back, if needed. Any such idea please...

rahul, 10 Jun 2009i bought this phone for Rs 7000.everything is good about l7... moreTo install Java games on the Samsung L700 without any software or drivers

In the phone Menu select 'Settings'

                        Then select 'Phone settings'

                        Then 'USB settings'

                        And choose 'Ask on connection'

Plug the Phone in to the PC with the USB cable

On the phone selct 'Media player'

On the PC wait until it detects the phone and select 'Open the device to view files'

                        Open the folder 'Phone'

You should see the folders: Images, Other files, Sounds, Videos

Create a new folder and name it 'Games'

Put any game you want to install in that 'Games' folder

Two things need to made sure of when copying over the games. Firstly make sure
you have the *.jar and *.jad files for each game, if you don't have the *.jad file, you
can download a jad creator pretty easily, just type it in Google. Secondly each
game has to be in it's own folder, if you just dump all the *.jar and *.jad files
directly into the 'Games' folder only the first game installed will work (Poorly too).

                        Unplug the phone

Now on the phone dial the code: *#6984125*#

                        Select 'Internals' (Number 4)
It will ask for a master key it is: *#9072641*#

                        Select 'Storage settings' (Number 7)
                        Update Java DB (Number 2)

                        Turn the phone off
                        Turn it back on

The games should now be installed with no problems unless there r other
                        problems such as resolution,etc...

                              Hi there!

I've just entered on my L700 the *#73XX# damn code which turned my phone into something else. Accidently, of course. Now my phone shows the battery full all the time and the recharge of it only shows 1 point of battery. Not all it's circle of recharging. There is no problem with the signal. The IMEI changed to 0000000000000000/0 and now i've lost the guaranty too. What should I do?
                              Thanks in advance.

It supports only .jad or .jar files which can be copied into the memory card when connected to the pc and then can be installed easily.
