What on earth is this thing for? Why would anyone say it needs a 12mp camera? It's a stab at the iPad thing. There is no way they could make this into a phone. It's make a pretty good communicator, focus it more for text type messages, e-mail's, IM's, SMS, but nothing more then that. These types of things are useless though. Just like the iPad it'll just be a big e-reader or something stupid like that.

Camera needs a major upgrade to make it compatible with the rest of the device.

oh man apple maniax might not known that samsung already have their own tablet,slate or UMPC from longtime ago.or ur iphone so expensive n make u cant afford to browse internet to search that icompany is not the first to make those thing?

people whom not buying ipad are the people who already know that ipad is not a new shiny kind of gadget.its already been there and alot and more affordable than ipad and have more functioning feature not for playing games only.

JK, 04 Jun 2010this is just a copy of the ipad! wtf..please HP, Samsung LG... moreHey jk (n anyone 2 whom this may concern)! a copy of ipad? aren't copies supposd 2 b 100% idntical 2 d original? come on, look @this tablet phone carefully! in evry sngle aspect, this 1 is bettr than ipad; the screen which is gonna b d 1st 7inch SUPER AMOLED SCREEN in history, the HSDPA n phone function, vid call on a HUGE display, USB port, a really nice flash support n so forth. i don't mean 2b exaggerating or 2sound like a samsung fanboy, but these r all just facts right? n 4 it's dsign, i do admit that ipad is prettier_coz steve jobs is a real fan of beauty, but that's just about it 4 d ipad. also i don't think samsung is an apple hater, they just seem 2 love us a bit more than apple do by giving more with lesser price tag. the galaxy beam is another good example, it's AWESOME!!! y don't u guys check it out! it'll b out on d market around next month.

kammie, 11 Jun 2010no..its not possible....its just a notebook type....You can use it as video call ! thats what it says in the specs - why does the iPad not have this - it would be so useful for business people to have conferance call on their iPads!!!!

I believe that this will have ability to call like a normal mobile phone but I don't think that you would be holding it by your ear :) you will have to use bluetooth earphones (maybe) or something like that...
This type of device (tablets or so...) are not invented by Apple and iPad is not (or it won't be) the best of them, it will only be the most sold tablet... even if it will be the most expensive and even if it will not support half functions like other tablets do...

huys, i don't think so u can make calls using tape. most probably like the ipad+3g version of thingy.
