      2.2 is froyo,while 2. 3 is gingerbread,which is the latest
      firmware available for us the tab owner.the update brings
      some fix and tweaks for bugs and improve performance
      such as battery,speed and etc,and it also enable us to use
      the front camera in for video call apps such as skype,fring
      etc..if youre still on froyo,update your firmware,it'll bring much new features and performance boost..

      and the front cam of the tab does support video call,try skype or fring..

            ABHIJIT SAHA, 15 Oct 2011How can I upgrade Android 2.2 to 2.3? Is it free? you can update to gingerbread via kies (if the cd is supplied within your tab box),just install it to your pc and then connect your tab to pc under kies connection,if you managed to do that succesfully,then kies will prompt you about the software update.

            or you can try go to samsung customer centre and ask them to do it,bring your warranty card along..

            another way is to flash custom firmware via odin (see xda developers website for instruction),but be extra careful,if you messed up with the process,it may brick your phone,just like what i did not so long ago,fortunately the repair centre at mine able to revive it back for free..

            so there you have it,goodluck.=)

                        I just bought a new original galaxy tab p1000 two days ago.

                        I realize a blue flash (small rectangular size fit the icon shape) on the screen edge (browser icon side usually or at the application icon side next to the broswer icon) during start up of the phone (from shutdown).

                        This symptom only appears when I start my phone from shut down mode everytime. After start up, if I on it from the power safe button (from sleep mode), there is no problem.

                        Is this a graphic card problem? Or every tab p1000 is like this?
