vedic, 27 Jan 2012arey bhoshidi, this is no secret, this has been used years... moreok Mr vedic the expert, the NEW ONCE KNOW. but I thout I saw some1 or infact quiete a few people asking for assistance with connectivity. I read all those comments b4 I commented. see Im descent. symbian is so dragon years dude I never figured I wud try and get that far with symbian I wud rather tenther wifi on android then symbian. I used to like symbian though and I was a die hard fan of windows mobile. but anyways ya dude.

ok guys here is a trick b4 u shoot urs selfs. its not the end of the world ok. right! here is a trick u can still connect to internet with ur galaxy Tab p1010 all u just need is a wifi hotspot. by now u should probably know by now that this tablet does not have GSM capabilities or 3G capabilities. meaning NO sim card. meaning that u have two options left. now the first option is u have to be in an area where wifi is accessible. a place with a wireless network range, a wifi hotspot in short. now I will tell u the secrete option number2. Im sure that by now most of us have heard abt a new future called wifi hotspot support on most of the latest android (running gingerbread+) handsets or mobile phones. (its not only android theres more) this handsets allow u to use them as wifi hotspots via the technology called wifi tathering which u would find under connection settings. hence these phones have sim cards for example the Galaxy Gio (remember it must be strictly running gingerbread not anything less. if u hv a fone running froyo- then u hv to upgrade it to gingerbread to have this feature). u can use the handsets GSM + 3G ability as a wifi access point for ur wifi tablet via this feature. listen its possible I have both the P1010 n the Galaxy GIO and I have been doing it happily Im loving my tablet as an IT engineer plus I have funky apps. so the trick was for us to buy both the tablet ang the handsets as a package. dat is y the galaxy p1010 is cheaper then the p1000. it is a good peace of hardware decent realy n powerfull. I love and Im addicted to android and my country South Africa + my family and girlfrend plus friends in one gadget.

Sh, 09 Jan 2012How to insert Sim card ?u can not insert sim card. this is the wifi only version and comes with froyo not gingerbread. very bulky

It says that it does not have GPS but it does, google maps work and if you can buy Sygic the GPS works perfectly, it picks up the signal in only a few seconds.

Hi All
Updated my tab to the 2.3.6 rom and it works perfectly I am so satisfied with it now, better speeds more stability, the only thing I found wrong was the Market but a download the latest market and install it manually from the web and now I cant find any problems. 2 things still not supported, no HID and Video playback codecs still problem...

You can not insert Sim card becuase this model only supports WiFi connectivity.
