schu, 29 Jul 2012which is the best ics or the honeycomb?I say go for ICS. Been using honeycomb for a while and when ICS updates is available on air, i waste no time. ICS is an improvement for honeycomb and speed is one them. You wont regret it. The home screen is just like any ICS smsung smartphone. No more laggy honeycomb homescreen.

Hi guys,
Bought this samsung tab 7.7 in June and yes it was quite laggy when using honeycomb. Guess what, just upgrade to ICS over the air yesterday. I dint quite expect it until the upgrade has completed. All I can say ICS rocks. Its much faster now and didnt get any lagging so far. Really enjoy it very much. Browsing the internet is superb. Overall its worth to do the upgrade. My 7.7 tab is from HongKong.

is the screen protected by GORILA GLASS orrrrrrrr ?
can it be easily upgraded to ICS ? (by myself)
iv heard this device is discontinued :( ,,, any news regarding conyinuity ?

Liked the specs but watching youtube videos of this tab makes me want to get the ipad 3. The tab has many functions but just seems to lag and with low ppi i rather go for more better picture quality.

guys, odin is offical or only on rooted devices. will i be able to flash ad get jelly beans. so confused would it void warranty. pls explain procedure. do the font size option works. what is sammy doing drunk in giii ten ml mark. within this year they will see time when they ha no o/s and using symbian n cells.

Sammy simply sucks for not in time firmware releasing for their toys .I am so disappointed with their fcukin laggy TW.Hey sammy plz Release the firmware for all regions as soon as possible or I would cut my tab to little pieces very soon and you are responsible for that :-)

I have the 7.7 Wifi version(P6810). I didn't want to do a manual upgrade but was sick of honeycomb.
If you google "ICS Release NOW For Galaxy Tab 7.7 P6810 (Wifi Only)" you will find good directions to installing ICS on the P6810. If you have the P6800 all you need is a link the the different firmware.
NOTE THAT THIS IS GENUINE FIRMWARE. Your device wont be rooted or lose warranty.
The upgrade was really simple and safe and its all working great.
ICS is a massive improvement over Honeycomb. Flas works properly, multi tasking is better, external storage now works, its faster and smoothee, battery life is still awesome, you can can edit the mini apps, works a lot better with go launcher. No problems at all including wifi.
The only thing i have noticed compared with my note on 4.0.4 is the toggles (wifi, bluetooth etc) dont san on/off they have O/I which isn't as simple.....
Maybe apple patented the on/off switch??? :-)

I have the tab p6810 and have just upgraded to ics with odin. IT IS AMAZING. I have always waited for the OTA updates but this was really simple and safe and you don't void any warranty.

Never done before, was it the first timeyou got it or tries. Can it be reset again no problem or 4.0.4 is final. Hav the option to increase font included option as there is. Write baseband and software comp version with date and country.

No problems seen but i had a problem with the Wifi but after having the network forgotten all seems fine.
The ICS is amazing compared to honycomp more internal memory available & the battery lasts much longer.
