its a great feature man if by any chance use a i phone u probably knw it
Smart Dialing is when you press a number and a list comes up that corresponds the number with the letts. For example, number 6 has the letters "M, N, and O," so if you type 6 three times, it'll find "mom." Say you want to dial Carl, you'll press, 2275
moreover wenevr u dial any number like 98 now wen u dial the third number it will giv u all the options saved on ur phone book havin those 3 numbers or even unsaved one which is in ur dialled/received/missed/incoming sms/outgoin sms list u dont have to dial anymore
jus 3 numbers
for ex if u dial 987 all the numbers havin these three numbers like 9872345678, 9876767545 etc will b shown on the screen n to narrow the search add another number than it will show only those options havin those 4 numbers...
its pretty cool

-dedicated cam key

screen resolution is poor in comparision to s3500

although s3500 is a slide phone even though it has a sleek design n look -14.3 mm thickness whereas gm200 is bar phone but thickness is 14.4 mm...lol

n my answer was: yup man it plays mp4 h.264 & h.263 @ 25/30 fps

bro i think u r confused with "protection on" feature.
bro its another awesome feature of s3500.
u knw bcoz of this protection feature you can pick files you would like to lock to prevent accidental deletion.
main importance of this feature is that u can protect any of ur messages, videos, pics, songs etc from accidental deletion. it really makes the file management of s3500 best among the non smart fones no other fone apart from samsung have this feature.
its really helpful take a case:
1) u accidently delete all ur sent messages @ once n then u remember there is one important mess along em.... but u knw if ur important mess is protected it wont b deleted even wen u press delete for all the messages.
2)if u have 400 messages or 500 wallpapers n u want to delete all except 20 or 30 important one. now even if like on others fone u have multiple deletion feature u hav to browse all the 500 wallpapers to save those bunch of wallpapers. but here in s3500 u can do the same or u can take advantage of this "protection feature". if u hav already protected ur important pics or messages jus go to delete "ALL" n press ok(dont think twice) no need to do any browsing n all ur 470 pics will b deleted n those 30 wud b remains undeleted.
and to delete evn those protected file either u can off the protection or wenever u delete a file a "protected" box appear nw jus by clicking middle key u can check uncheck the box. if u check it all the files including protected one will b deleted.
bro u get diffrent options wen deleting diffrent things like mess, pics, audio, video.
for ex: wen u press delete all in messages than 2 box appers one is "protected" other is "unread"... i kw u r confused with that... so here is the answer wen both are unchecked all ur messages will b delete except protected and uread messages. n if u check em by pressing middle key all the messages will b deleted including protected n unread one.
now wen u delete ur pics u got options like:
protected, wallpaper, shared etc
so here also before deletig all the wallpapers ur s3500 is jus askig u if u wanna delete protected pics too, likewise did u want to delete those wallpapers too which u r using right now, or those files which are shared i.e pics that u hav added to ur contacts to make use of picture calling feature.
so it wont delete these pics which u r using without prompting u.
so u r confuse bout how to on or off this feature.
here it is:
wenever u find any pic or message, or song, or video important to u n u want it to protect from getting accidently deleted jus press option n browse downward to protection n click middle key to protect that particular file. do the same to off the protection. it will off the protection of that particular file.
as simple as that.
protection on n off is for ny particular file.
n those options like unread, shared, protected, wallpaper etc will pop up only to confirm that u never delete anything by mistake. so if u dont have any protected file jus ignore it n press delete.
its a awesome feature that makes s3500 file management the best among non smart phoe.

a nomber of cards and swap em easily at will.

cam cover: cam is not at the back of fone....it is inbetween the
slide so slide act as a cam cover...protect lens from scratches,
dust n all.
Unlike nokia and other phones, GM200 lens aperture is made of
scratch resistant glass so you dont have to worry about scratching
the lens cover. Just wipe it with a dry cloth. it is as simple as
that.
can change DEFAULT MEMORY setting: u can change default memory
settings of bluetooth, wap downloads, camera, camcorder, voice
recorder, fm radio etc from phone mem to memory card.
for ex: now when u transfer any file through bluetooth or click a
pic, or record a radio clip they'll b directly stored in ur mem
card.
My default memory will automatically be set to memory card on
insertion. no need to set it seperately.
Awesome file management:
The functionality of the file browser is one of the best among
non-smartphones. You can copy or move files - both one by one or in
bulk, and you can create and delete new folders (save for the basic
ones). Files can also be sent via Bluetooth one by one or multiple
at once. Throughout the whole file manager, you can pick files you
would like to lock to prevent accidental deletion. The whole file
navigation thingy is really quick with no lags whatsoever.
This doesn't even count as a function. I do have a great file
browser as well.
apart from these there are a lot more features like "THEME CREATOR"
or BLUETOOTH MESSAGING....the list is endless.....we r still
exploring.....
You can also Protect you messages and Files by Protection on
OPTION!!! By this option you can prevent you files from eventual
deleting!!!

Now i say you how LG GM200 is much more better than S3500!!!
1) S3500 have 240 x 320 screen display whereas LG GM200 have 176 x
220, Ok if it's something i can live with as it wont drain my
battery while providing adequate pic quality. I won't be
complaining over it unless your phone is a smartphone with an HTML
browser or a dedicated camera phone.
2)S3500 have 1 crore 60 lac colour combination where as LG GM200
have only 2 lac and 56 thousand colour combination!!! Well to an
average user that doesn't make much of a difference. The only
advantage you get is that in your display, the wallpapers appear a
bit more saturated and realistic.
3)LG GM200 is again a boring bar phone But S3500 is the ugliest
slider phone ever!!! And it ain't even metallic. Only metallic
looks on a cheap plastic body.
4) Video recording is recorded in QVGA in S3500 (much more better
than other 2MP phone!!! My friends cant believe that the video is
taken in 2MP camera)
See the video clarity in You tube!!! Ok that great and I appreciate
that but with only 15fps not so appealing. Nokia 3120c can record
video in VGA resolution but the same problem persists 15fps so it's
not all about video resolution. It's about the frames.
5) s3500 accepts upto 16GB but LG GM200 only 2GB!!!
Dont know if 16GB is verifies but ok i'll give it to you for that.
But without a hotswap slot you are stuck to your card forever. I
can swap different cards anytime I want.
Price: S3500 is less than 5000!! LG Gm200 5500
Ok that is inclusive of 1year anti theft insurance and 1Gb
additional sanddisk card.
2MP camera... AWESOME....
Not as appealing.. GM200 cam is by every aspect better than S3500
cam. just check out the pics that i have posted.
Video resolution 320 x 240, qvga video recording... VERY
GOOD....but with only 15fps very bad. There are nokia classic
phones with video recording in VGA resolution but with 15fps. It
totally ruins the advantage of a better resolution.
Fake call mangaement.... due to this facility you can just clicking
a button, a fake call will come that will prevent you from critical
situations....
That i do think is quite unique with this phone.
Bluetooth which you can browse other phones files....Really awesome
feature, that i never seen in other phones....
You're so ignorant. GM200 to has that feature and the biggest
advantage is that when paired with nokia phones, the other user
wont even be aware of what all things are taken from his phone.
Loud and crystal clear sound....
Loud and crystal clear sound better than s3500 with definitive
dolby advantage and advanced noise cancellation. Can even talk with
the phone two feet apart. The mic is that much sensitive and clear.
Another advantage is that when ordinary earphones are used, the
phone's mic can be used to answer calls instead of requiring
earphones with mic.
Display clarity with 16M colors...so you can get lively images....
262K colour is'nt that bad either. But with a brighter display, the
colour is much more highlighted.
2.2 inch display(That you never see in nokia phone of this range,
even if you spend two or three thousands extra)
Yeah i'd appreciate that if it was a smart phone with a document
viewer or a dedicated camera phone. Otherwise I can live with 2.0
inch displays.
Security management(can lock your sms,calender,call log, memory
card, files, events, memo, task,etc...
Ok i can do that as well on my phone.
sliding model with mettalic finish....
Crap slider with a cheap plastic body and only metallic paint to
fool people. Gets scratched very easily.
USB charging...Good feature at this price.....
You call that a feature, almost all LG phones have USB charging.
Even my C2500 had this.
FM with radio data system....
Wireless FM with RDS.. ha ha... reception is unbeatsble
No limit for FM stations...
Yeah there are only about 43 FM stations allotted all over India.
So even if you travel all over India 48 preset stations seem more
practical as in GM200 and the channels are displayed in grid view
for easy cahnging between channels with four way navigation.
