I'm nt telling dat s3500 is bad. I knw, it has got loads of features, lyk 2.2', 16 m display, 8 gb xpndabl, bluetooth wid ftp, theme creator, file lock, etc. But, i tink d nokia 2700c is just on top of it. 1st thing is dat it is userfriendly n easy2use (symbian s40 phn). Nokia 2700 costs only rs.4050/-, which is around 1k less than dat of s3500, wid 2 mp camera. And 3.5 mm audio jack(which u'll not find in any phn at diz price) And, do i need2 mention bout d battery (1020 mah), s3500 has only 850 mah, if m nt wrong. It also has a flash player, by which u can watch videos in youtube without evn dwnloading them. The sound quality is in par wid 5130 xm. Other features include Radio with RDS suprt, bluetooth wid A2DP, Nokia life tools, etc to name a few. Wat else, do u wnt?? By the way, We all know dat nokia is d most trusted brand in india.

What use are all these great features if this so called superb cell goes down within 2 months...I am sure I am not the only one who had this experience...
And moreover, the way Samsung servoce centres are being handled...its a pathetic story. As bad as India govt offices and they take min...1 week even for the simplest repair.
Fetaures are good no doubdt...but this aspect is very worrying. I anot happy with my decision to trust of samsung,

These are some of the features which S3500 only possess!!!
Multiple Alarm,Calendars with all Indian holidays mentioned, theme creator, PRIVACY LOCK, Block calls even sms, Flight mode, USB charging, bluetooth security, Awesome FM and call recording, FAKE CALL FUNCTION, MENU TRANSITION EFFECT, MOBILE TRACKER, SOS function, SMS alert repetition, Random wallpaper funtion, Bluetooth messaging, Smart dialing, SMS zooming function, User friendly File management, Autoreply,, etc,, etc!!!
You cant see these type of features in Nokia 2700... If you can, then say!!!!

It's great great phone!!! Nokia has good phone too but it will only take half a year and it will show symptoms of hanging. I bought 3 nokia phone already its shows the same symptoms. That is why I only buy SE and Samsung because of this.
S3500 features is awesome considering the price. Downside is battery.. 1 days if used an mp3 and fm for 2-3 hrs and 2 days if used for texting and maximum of 10-20 call compilation. I'm looking for a spare battery right now. Can anyone recommend a spare battery for my s3500

first of all in terms of looks s3500 is a sureshot winner. s3500 has premium brushed mettalic look whereas 2700 is another boring plastic bar phone.
s3500 has 16m colours(1 crore 60 lakh colours) wheras 2700 has jus 256 thousand colour (imagine 62 times less colours...a big diffrence)
s3500 screen is larger than 2700
2.2 inch vs 2 inch
2700 expende upto only 2 gb whereas s3500 can be expended upto 16gb.
moreover apart from specs it has innumerable awesome features.....
take a look at this:
at Rs. 5100 u'll get:
2.2 inch screen + 1 crore 60 lakh colours(16M) + 320*240 video recording resolution + excellent 2mp camera(the best in the class) + QVGA video recording + awesome music player(loud n crystal clear) + premuim brushed mettalic body
u cant find these fetures in any other phone at its price or even if u pay rs2000 or 2500 more....(check urself)

Multiple Alarm: There are five alarm slots available on the Samsung S3500 and additional ones can be created if needed. Each of them can have its own snooze time, number of repetitions and activation days. The volume can also be different for each alarm. Calendars - Calendar Function is awesome in this phone. It have all Indian Holidays marked. If there is a public holiday (date) it will show a icon below and when u click button, it will show you which holiday it is.
"theme creator"
through theme creator u can create n customize ur own theme according to ur choice of colours n ur choice of pics... its really a awesome feature for those who loves customization.... (to knw more bout it pls read earlier comments)
PRIVACY LOCK: Locking function is also very good where you can lock ur Messages, call log, phonebook, ur files (pics, videos, games etc), calender, memo, task etc...watever u want. really a unique function...
BLOCK Calls n Sms's: u can block calls as well as sms.
"Flight mode"
"USB charging"
"bluetooth security"
when u connect other phones through bluetooth it ask for a passcode....it really enhance ur phone secutity bcoz of this ur phone can not be hack through any hacking tool.
another awesome feature is when you connect through Bluetooth to any other device you can take a control of that phone as all files and folders of other connected phone are displayed on S3500. You can take whichever files you want without bothering other person.
"Fm recording" n the best part is the audio quality of recorded clip is shockingly loud n crystal clear n can save unlimited no. of stations.
"call recording"
crystal clear call recording n the other person on call will not hear any annoying beep.
"Fake Call function" this feature enables you to activate a bogus incoming call, so you can free yourself from awkward conversations or dodgy situations by pretending to take a call. For added authenticity, you can record your own or ur friends fake voice "call" that plays back when you answer.
"Menu transition effect"
if u seen latest aamir khan's samsung ad then u wud probably knw wat i m talking bout...wenever u press a button the screen slides from right to left....it looka awesome...u can also change ur transition effect.
"MOBILE TRACKER 2.0"
Mobile tracker automatically sends an SMS message to a pre-designated number alerting you when your phone’s SIM card is changed, increasing your chances of recovering a lost or stolen mobile phone.
"SOS FUNCTION"
in an emergency jus press either end of the volume key 4 times when the phone is closed. this will send the SOS message to ur selected recipients. if they call u back their call will be automatically connected. its definately a life saving feature.
"Message alert repetition": it will alert u in evry 2 min if there is an unread mes on ur phone....u can put it off too.
"keypad lights" automatically set according to day night usage or according to ur custom usage dont have to on or off it manually.
have all the features which only a music phone possess....n music player is shockingly loud n clear.
"Random Wallpaper Effect"
very intresting feature...wenever u use ur mobile n came back to standby....it will welcome u with diffrent wallpapers of ur choice each time.(to know more read earlier reviews)

cam cover: cam is not at the back of fone....it is inbetween the slide so slide act as a cam cover...protect lens from scratches, dust n all.
can change DEFAULT MEMORY setting: u can change default memory settings of bluetooth, wap downloads, camera, camcorder, voice recorder, fm radio etc from phone mem to memory card.
for ex: now when u transfer any file through bluetooth or click a pic, or record a radio clip they'll b directly stored in ur mem card.
Awesome file management:
The functionality of the file browser is one of the best among non-smartphones. You can copy or move files - both one by one or in bulk, and you can create and delete new folders (save for the basic ones). Files can also be sent via Bluetooth one by one or multiple at once. Throughout the whole file manager, you can pick files you would like to lock to prevent accidental deletion. The whole file navigation thingy is really quick with no lags whatsoever.
apart from these there are a lot more features like "AUTO REPLY" , "night mode"....the list is endless.....we r still exploring.....
s3500 is a "ALLROUNDER" phone

people i bought this phone a month back...
it'ss an awesome set...
bt the only problem m facing is the tone which plays after evry sms i send or every call i make..showing the balance left on my accunt.. plzz help me deactivate this tone.. thanxx guyzz

Hi All, no doubt s3500 is 1 of d bst phn in d markt (for itz price). But, d newly launchd nokia 2700c is much bettr..., than any othr phns at itz price range.(nokia2700c costs only rs.4050/-). But, s3500 (which cost around rs.5400) is also a gud phn. I think these r d two bst phn in d market, having gud features at low price.

well 'Sumeet' i think ur S3500 start showing it's true color. Bt that so soon, i surprise bcos samsung phones usually take year and half to start showing symptoms.

Well I was loving this set until it stopped working suddenly. I am very dissapointed as this is just 2 months old.
It first hung up, as it often does, then Ijust removed and replacd the vbattery. Since then I have tried the power buton atleast 50 times, it is not coming on.
Any one else had a similar experience?

yup bro its very simple jus do as written below:
NO bro u dont have to save 0 n neither u have to remember the number.
as u said jus dial the number n edit it.
to edit: jus press call button to get recentlly dialled list than press option here the second option is call....browse to it n press the "middle key" here u can edit the number according to ur will n press "dial" it will dial the number as simple as that.
bro i think still u r not using "middle key" enough....

To Add '0' for the local numbers when you roam on a network,Can you pl let
me know hoW to do it in S3500 with out saving the actual contact itself with 0 or
dialing the number by youself by rememebring it?
In Sony Ericcson ,Nokia and all,we can dial the actual number,then edit the call records and
press the dial ,it serves the purpose.
