how to open the vSamsung Star mobile? I want to insert my SIM in it and the booklet doesn't say anything abt it?

xondaf11, 03 Jan 2010i have my samsung star s5233a model. why does some people c... moreu cannot install 3rd party softwares and games in the firmware that comes shipped along with the phone..mean to say the java feature is locked.
There are 2 ways to overcome this, one to flash with a firmware that has java unlocked or 2 use the same firmware and use alternate methods like tkexplorer or ftplite to copy the files (games,apps,etc) directly on the phone drives ( which are otherwise not visible to user, it will show only in ftplite or txexplorer).

mohy, 03 Jan 2010my phone memory is full and i want to exchange it a new... morego to settings - memory -default memory and select card for all options.
U can also use ur data cable ( supplied with ur phone) and copy the contents directly to ur card via a pc.

harry, 04 Jan 2010Bought my son one for christmas, with a 16gb microSD. Swit... moremost probably it may be due to 16gb card, as far as i know..8gb card works well. Try with a lower capacity to confirm else take it to the service centre to get the card module checked..i faced similar issues as well.

goran, 04 Jan 2010Where can I find opera mini for this mobile phone?just type m.opera.com on your edge enabled phone (well thats the reason u need a browser!) and download directly to ur phone.
Else go to http://www.opera.com/mini/download/, download it on ur pc and later transfer to the phone and install it ( if u know how to use tkexplorer or ftplite).

save ur pics in memory card instead of ph memory.

Bought my son one for christmas, with a 16gb microSD.
Switched photocamera to record to the memory card and it showed somewhat a capacity of a 1000 pics. at some point, message was out of memory (much less than 1000 pics taken) and no matter what, I don't get it back to accept more pics. When I switch to internal memory, I get some 30 pics free. But no matter what I do with card, when I switch to it, I have 0 pics to take.
Anyone else got this behaviour? Is it maybe caused by using 16GB card, which seems to be outside the specification?

Make sure u test/check all ur features on the phone with in 7 days( to get a full replacement) beyond that you will get only parts replacement and not phone replacement.
The service in bangalore authorised service center is pathetic and maintained by illiterate folks who cant even utter english properly.
So make sure u check all the features, in case of any issue go for a phone replacement.

my phone memory is full and i want to exchange it a new 4gb memory card when i want to give bluetooth it tells the phone memory is full delete some items how can i transfer to memory card please help .............. my english is not good..........

I use my bros iphone and just got the new samsung star 3g. U cant compare the 2 phones. Iphone is the god of all phones. Samsung star doesnt hav the same touch flow as the iphone. And believe me after using the iphone i think i shud get a stylus 4 the samsung star. Its not as responsive as the iphone. And the accelerometer sux on the samsung star. But i got the samsung star cos its cheaper than the iphone and im not as rich as my bro to afford a iphone. Overall samsung star 3g is worth its price at 10k. Thanx to samsung we hav a cheap touch screen phone that every1 can afford.

where can i buy earphone adapter so i may use my 3.5 jack earphones? and if i use one, will i still be able to use fm radio?
