Star it’s a nice phone but not user-friendly. Screen too sensitive. I have record a video and save it but I can find it,
Secondly I really need a poacher for this phone.

i have been using this phone now for approximately 3 weeks...and i love it!! (not as much as my baby.. samsung f210, which unfortunately i lost due to drunkeness!! lol)
ive always used samsungs, and to be honest every samsung ive had, the battery life was rubbish but i still buy them! but this one has improoved every think, battery lasts for about 3 days, and im constantly on it (i.e mp3, texting, calling) and also the sound quality is brillient!! only thing is theres not much memory on the phone itself and they wasnt giving the memory cards woth the phone unless you brought it online! i work in sales myself, and i know people always want the best phones, what they dont realise is the more technology that is on the handset, the more likely you are to have alot of trouble with it...this one is perfect, great camera, great sound and looks sexy!! :P

I have Samsnug Star (S5233A) and I've Samsung NPS 3.1 installed in my Machine. I can connect my phone with NPS through data cable provided. Now I want to update the phone software (firmware), I clicked on "Update icon", a pop up comes in. Then I select "Update Device tab" and from there I can select the phone model (GT-S5233A) from the drop down but the problem is that I always get the message "Device not supported."
Why is this happening? Is the NPS not updated?
Any suggestions appreciated..

Buy for yourself a "star" or alternatively take it from ur friend if he had. Now start exploring it.
-- Smileys? - star supports smileys under special symbols, which then get automatically rendered to the actual gifs for their respective platforms.
-- Song as a ringtone? - everybody (except u) knows , it is quite possible on star.
-- Changing wallpapers - I do not know how to answer this question! i mean ofcourse yaaaaaaaar !!!
Leave apart these minor things, star has even more to offer, and that too for too less.

Nothing beats Nokia phones in offering the wholesome goodness of a mobile phone...Samsung Star is an excellent phone.. however samsung has really cheated the public in a very sneaky way..The SMS wont support Basic simple "Smileys"? You cannot change the ringtone to a song you want? You cannot change the wall papers ?? This is sneaky cheating .. Everyone assumes a internet based phone to have smileys!!! Nokia touch screen may cost 15 grand and up but any day they offer a lot to do on the user front .. My Old Nokia 5300 can do every thing a samsumg start can do an in fact even better .. i can put in my oen ring tones, change wall papers and ... SMILEYS are there..Being an engineer by profession I would call the Star bad engineering...its not like we'er asking for a phone with the camera lens to look at the moon we are asking for simple "SMILEYS"..
