What i meant to say, is, what if the new firmware do not suit my needs, and i want to revert back to my previous fw? And also how can i assure myself that the firmware i m upgrading to, supercedes the previous one?, as m not much friendly with the numbering convensions that it use and country sufixes etc.

Better i do... moreNot than risky...all u have to do is back up ur phonebook to ur pc studio.the files in 'my files' move it to memory card.
coz,ur phonebook,apps n all in memory phone will be lost.coz i don't have importants files....no need to worry..it's just take less than 10 minutes to upgrade

there's no way to back up ur fw first b4 u upgrade.but,u can googling for ur fw that fits on ur country.
like mine,in asia.the original fw is DX..but i recently upgrade to europe fw.that the code is XE.still a java friendly to install.
if u r already upgrade n not satisfy with the new fw.then u want go back to the previous fw,simply go to samsung center to help flash it,but it will cost u for that

but,mine in asia...star S5230,it's comes with the stylus slot n of course the stylus is include it.
well,i don't need a stylus for operating star for daily use.need it for callibrating the screen...

My Samsung S5230 Star is storing the received SMS i... moreIt's seems u can't change that.it's automaticly save into the sim first,when ur sim card it's full then it will automaticly save to ur fone.but u can move it ur sms in the sim storage manually.just go to inbox,then tap more,choose move to phone...select all messages

Hello!. My Samsung S5230 Star is storing the received SMS in the SIM card and i want to do it in the phone memory. I'm searching the way to change this setting, but i'm not able to find how.

is ther a way in which u can silence the call without cuttin it?like the silence feature in nokia or the pressing hash key durin the call ring in SE...?its kinda imp wen i get calls tht i cant cut but i still dnt wanna take...
other than this,overall im extremely happy wid the phone....totally totally worth 9000rs...ive used 5 SE phones n am a huge fan..yet im fully satisfied wid the STAR..

Just bought this phone a week back, All features are worth while comparing the price with other phones.
Don't expect more features for 9000 INR
