I am dissapointed in the picture quality at night...my old Samsung E250 had better picture quality at night, and for some reason I cannot download music from other websites. When using my USB cable on my pc I cannot connect to the web on PC, using my phone as a modem. I think the Samsung Star should come out with a pen for the touch screen making it more user friendly, as I am quick with the fingers and it can become frustrating when texting in a hurry.

When I start the PC Studio it reads :
"There is no a valid ragestry data"
As you can see even the grammar ain't proper, which is unusual. What do you think the problem is? Some virus or something?
Also when I go to toolbox and click on backup and restore option and then select the phone, it says this function is not available for this phone. Then why is it there in the PC Studio??

You only need to take backup of ur phone-data or synchronise the information in case you are going hard reset ur phone. For the said solution to work in a safe way, please do not worry about anything and go right away for it.

Your solution to install games and softwares worked perrrrrrrrrfectly fine for me :) I could install all of 'em without even having gprs enabled. Thanks a ton man! Earlier i used tkfileexplorer way (since had no gprs enabled to download FTPLite), but it simply crashed on the upload itself and i was not able to even place those files into the system memory. But FTPLite solution worked great for me!!!
Here's my contribution!
Visit the link at the bottom of post and download collection of hundreds of games in a .rar format. Simply extract games from the archive and follow the instructions as told in the tutorial (what i m replying to [i think 1-2 pages back from here]). The page i've linked is for Samsung Pixon model, but since star and pixon have the same resolution (240x400 per inch), they all work for the star too. Warning!!! Before implementing the said solution, make sure u have backed-up/synchronised all of ur messages and contacts.

I find that Samsung and SonyEricsson are the best phones to use... I know so many people who have major software problems with Nokia, so I wont touch them... I got the Samsung GT-S5233 Star a few days ago and so far it is great. I was disappointed not to get an integrated stylus with this model, who wants a stylus handing from their phone, and I am also alittle disappointed with the phone features, I was hoping there would be alittle more to it and that it would have a few more added extras... but other than that its fantastic, not too complicated and very simple to use!

it is the worst phone ever.I bought it and it went wrong in 1 day it has no use of songs no volume no good internet Nokia is better than samsung in anyways buy a lg cookie if u want a cheap goood touch phone or 3120 c nokia i prefer my 3120c lg cookie and n97 than this piece of junk

There are no themes for Star so far :-(

Is it some kind of error that appears or u simply trying to say u were not able to replace ur touch-sensitive screen once got damaged??? It the latter is true then it may be a case particular to you. Samsung has a better and very prompt service.

I am from India and I am planning to for Samsung Star but I am not really able to make my mind for it. Reasons -
1. I mainly want music
2. Camera - I read camera quality is good though
3. Touch screen - Will it be durable?
4. Battery backup which I heard is not good.....since music will be on most of the time, I am sure if it will serve the purpose.
Please can anyone suggest or help?

So think 100 times before purchase.

Please dont buy Samsung Star.
It is having major software problem.
I bought 1 month before and right now its touch pad is not supported.
And when i went to service center they dont have another touch pad and another piece for replacement.
So this is my humble request to u all please dont buy this 3rd class phone.
