I've seen 5800 and i own a star myself, here... moreu hv any bad experience with the phones network?
i asking bcoz in my area, mobile operators network is very bad.(currently using Nokia phone)
wht abt call clarity of this phone?

just one Q for u,
u said, u use creative ep-630 headphones with a 3.5mm adapter.
did u purchase samsung's 3.5mm adapter??
and does the sound quality gets that much improved ???
(B'coz i've seen u cursing the music Q of star in th past)

I've seen 5800 and i own a star myself, here's my take on it:
Battery life - 5800 is Bad, STAR goes upto 2 days without charging (avg no of call +music+cam+games+little web surfing+some videos)
Music - music Quality of 5800 is the BEST!! no comaparison here..
Good picture - STAR does nt hav autofocus, but Cam pic Quality is way better than 5800
Appropriate screen - with widgets and 3 home screens star scores better.
memory - STAR is upgradable upto 8gb, and it wont run slow when u start fillin up mem card unlike nokia 5800/or any symbian phn.
Good navigation - Definately Star is faar faar better than 5800

Hi all
I a need to buy a phone and this fone got my eye but i wanted to find out what does it come with in the box here in South Africa and compared to the Nokia 5800 express music and the samsung m8800 whats it overall quailty.
The most important things to me is
Good battery life
Music
Good picture
Appropriate screen
Radio
memory
Good navigation
i love music and radio, these i cant live without

Finally bought this awesome handset yesterday from Indraprastha in Borivali (W) in Mumbai. Had been doing research for the phone and had shortlisted Samsung Star & HTC Touch VIVA as wanted a Touch screen handset.
But finally went for this for the offer i was getting & the VFM and the usability of the phone also.
Got this for Rs.8400 + Rs.650 for 4 GB MicroSD (with warranty)+ Rs. 250 for scratch guard.
Just getting in terms with the functions of the phone, but for the price i paid its an amzion fon. Just 2 things based on 1st impression, though u dnt requried a stylus, the one provided should have been one which can go into a slot on the fon instead of as a dongle which is ugly.Also the headsets suplied ar pathetic..

Online, 17 Aug 2009Press the volome button downthnx....but that will work only in normal mode....i want to kno hw v can cancel d vibr ation wen v r getting a call..............it seems like v've to cancel the call......

does this phone have a protective plastic on top of the screen ? cuz my fone just got its screen scratched ? so is it the screen that is scratched or is there a protective plastic just on top of the screen ?:S:S

there are only 4 pages of menu and there is no option to create shortcut
