I just bought this phone after reading so positive comments but to my disappoint its dropping 95% of calls. Its showing full signal still drops the call. I request all the experts please advise me the way out.

i have encountered an icon appearing on the top of my samsung star screen.. it appears with number 1 with a red dot on the side.im using smart sim.

anybody from the philippines:
who knows how to activate the gprs settings for star from globe?
i have talked to the customer service and they say it is not supported yet,,
then they just gave me manual configurations but it still dont work and some of the fields they gave me are not present on the fone..
what shall i do??

i hv talked to customer care ppl. n all they are saying is tht i need to send VL to 52586. n i will receive gprs n mms settings. bt i m nt getting anything. i hv started feeling tht may be my cell is nt at all gprs enabled...lol.. they asked me to remove all of my msgs, so i ll be able to receive settings. bt i m already hving 5-6 msgs in inbox n 64 msgs in my folder. wat shd i do?.... can anybdy plzzzzz write here all the settings, so tht i can set it up manually.. plzzz, i will be evry thnkful.. i tried to do it myself frm vodafone website. bt settings for this particular set are nt given there. so i tried with others' settings. if u ppl r using internet on ur phn, can u plz post its settings over here. thnx in advance..

Anonymous, 11 Jul 2009i hv read it on this forum tht v shd nt use scratch guards,... morei have no idea about lamination. u can get it done if that's safe. but i'm using scratch guard n there's no negative effects. n why wud a touchscreen get "hot"?? no scratch guard does'nt affect the screen at all.

king, 11 Jul 2009i wud recommend a scratch guard (if u can get it as most sh... morei hv read it on this forum tht v shd nt use scratch guards, as while using phn, screen gets hot n in tht situation scratch guard will be effecting touch screen nagatively. wat to u suggest? actually my bro is using iphn n he hs got it laminated. so i thought tht may be lamiantion can be one option.
