hey guys, can anybdy plzzzz help me tht hw to set gprs settings for vodafone?... i m msging to vodafone bt i m nt getting any msg frm them regarding settings. so i think tht may be i shd set it manually. can anybdy plz help me out regarding dis problem?

Anonymous, 11 Jul 2009thanx a lot KING for answering my questions... i just hv on... morei wud recommend a scratch guard (if u can get it as most shops don't have scratch guards that big but i was lucky enough to get one). anyway i don't know whether dust or water shall harm the screen but lets not take risks.

If so, h... moreI had upgraded my firmware. Then my gprs wont work. Then I tried another firmware. The flashing went bad, and my phone was blank dead. Ofcourse my warranty was void, but i went to the service centre, and told them that i was tranfering flash through my pc, and there was a power cut. After that the phone hanged. The phone was dead.
So, the did not ask any questions, they found the motherboard had a problem, so they replaced it with a new one. After 2 weeks, I got my phone, and it works again. I was relieved. So, if you've flashed ur phone, then dont tell them that, they wont know. Your warranty stands!!!

The battery has lasted for 5 days, without charging,and i listen to music continously... So, I don't know what you are talking about.
Also about the flash, the phones with flashes also donot effect the pics to a very high extent. But the pics in Star is pretty good, provided you know how to take good pics!!!

i m using this phone for one month and i am fully satsified with the phone.also i hav downloaded some nice games which will makes u feel good while u play in the star phone.

samsung star is really vast experibce in my. battery life is very very bad.no flash light. no memory card its hangs in 1 gb card so no matter of 8gb can use.go for lg cooike(kp 500).coming with 1gb card .but if you want there one bettre opption go for adavance FLY company model no E105 because its 3.2 megapixcel camera with flash ligt t.v out put.87mb internal memory 8gb expable with fm recording and contious vide recording with 15 qualiys effect in camera

Its ones of those thin clear plastic covers the manufaturers put on all new phones, just something you normally take off when you remove the phone from the packaging.

one more thing, star 5233 has smart dialing, no handwriting input( cauz of no stylus), u can add names to fm radio channels !!!

3.i use 8gb. no it does'nt slow it down.
4.yeah u should go 4 screen cover. the one it comes with comes off within a few days. so yes u will need a scratch guard.

I got this phone and was expecting it to be great, but Samsung, not matter what phone, especially this one, is really bad. Sony Ericsson phones are 10 times superior than this piece of crap.
Why ? WTH: 1. You can't easily install Java apps and Games on it, battery life really sucks, the microSD is like... a strange alien for the phone, for example if you set a ringtone and a caller image it's copied from the microSD to the phone... imagine having photos for all your contacts and 4 to 6 different ringtones (ringtones and sms tones, for different profiles can exceed that number)... you left with less than 20MB of memory. I mean WHY does the phone has to copy those files and WHY java has to be such a big fuss ?
I'm so selling it in the next days and getting a real phone like Nokia or Sony Ericsson that won't eat away your brains and stress you out with every little damn nasty thing that has to be sooooo complicated in other phones but just runs smoothly in SE and Nokia phones... I mean.. it's just.. messy in there.
It's nice to have a touch-screen: BUT THAT's IT!
message alert when you have no messages, same with call alerts... java issues.. big issues, battery issues, and microSD vs. phone memory.. thats the biggest issue.. it's like they are enemies or something... it's really annoying.
DO NOT BUY this phone if your want a phone that's your friend and is helpful instead of pissing you off every damn minute.

i got it for 9000 2weeks ago u shd get for less than tht to be a nice deal,,, :)
i hate the music management feature bcoz there isn't any :(
